Guest guest
Bittersweet moment here: My 5 yr old son has never spontaneously said " I love you. " He can repeat it if you ask him to, and he will say " yes " if I ask him if he loves Mommy. Sometimes he'll get goofy and say " no " ; always laughing like it is the best joke ever. Two nights ago I put him to bed with the regular " I love you " . He looked over the side of his bed for his beloved railroad crossing sign (just a round metal sign) on the floor and said, " I love you railroad sign. " The speech was perfect and the tone was very sincere AUGH! I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Am I next???? I just had to share with people who understand.
