The bill is just in health clinics and hospitals run by the county- but it's a great start and the politicians were very receptive (which you don't see very often). ps- i'm on no email- so I don't see the posts right away

Guest guest
Cripes, those people cannot figure out that there is more than one answer to the question. They cannot seem to figure out that SOME vaccines have Hg and some don’t. and that some vaccines can be bought Hg free and some can’t. even though they seem to be on the right side of the issue, removing Hg from all shots, they just can’t seem to wrap their heads around the specifics. Maybe they’ve all had too much Hg!! Congrats on getting these guys to do the right thing!! Guest guest
Great, great video. Everyone understands this issue when it is presented. Only fools try to defend thimerosal in vaccines for infants and pregnant women. He came off as a complete lying scumbag- a poisoner of babies. In a more just/less corrupt society, he would be on the rack in the public square. Maybe next time they can get a cosmetic/plastic surgeon to do their bidding. Note the emphasis on plastic. Heh. Guest guest
Holly, I think if you saw the whole video you would see that the legislators were confused because the Dr. wouldn't answer the questions. And when he tried to answer " do you have a flu shot without thimerosal? " he would say how important the flu shot is and how it's recommended by the CDC. I cut a lot of him out because he was talking in circles and I was trying to keep it short. I have about 45 min of footage. Also, the basis of one discussion was that the Health Dept. claimed that a child coming in for 1 combo shot would have to come 8 different times for thimerosal free shots- which of course is not true. I don't think it's that the panel couldn't wrap their head around specifics--- the Dr. wouldn't give them the specifics. I love how twice jumps in there and says after 5 min of talking in circles by the Dr. " excuse me, you can get that vaccine " . You could feel the relief in the room. btw- the man on the right side with grey hair who got very angry- he has a grandson with autism & attended our conference last April. Guest guest
No, I watched the whole thing but I think the misunderstanding was two-sided as the panel guys were asking the wrong questions and the health dept guy was answering them wrong. I love listening to you LI people talk. > LOL--- you actually don't hear me give my speech because I'm off camera and I talked about how the resolution is discrimination (not so much autism related) but I say at the end " I know y'all will do what is right " LOL. I lived in Virginia for 7 years and worked hard to get rid of my Longisland accent. Mr. Brown- you don't see him- is the lawyer for either the Health Dept. or the County. Earlier in the meeting he jumped in and told people to stop talking about pollution (nice). The panel said " why? " . And the lawyer says " if there is litigation, then you can't talk about it in a public forum " . So the legislator asked " is there a current lawsuit? " and the lawyer says " no- but there could be " . The legislator responds " well, then it doesn't break the rules- go ahead " . It was a tense moment (i got that on video too). So, I think the guy's comment was that Mr. Brown (the lawyer) is sitting in the back of the room, chatting with other people (and making fun of us) while the head of the Health Dept. is giving out misinformation. The whole thing was just so classic.

One of the most damning pieces was the legislator with the white hair yelling “Your predecessor said that there is no more mercury in vaccines for children under 3, 3 years ago!” This is the misconception from every legislator that I have talked to and their staff. and you are true heroes. Guest guest
That legislator with the white hair is Linsdsay, the head of the legislature, it wasn't even his committee but he cares quite about this issue-- he has a five year old grandson on the spectrum, and he is the guy who controls the budget for Dr. Graham, the head of the Department of Health we all saw trying so hard not to give a straight answer. After yesterday's performance i am woindering how much longer Dr. Graham will hold his job. > > I cried too! Great Job and !
