Guest guest
Think the safest course is to try the iodine and take ACE, C, and lots of pantothenic acid. Then check and see where you are. If it doesn't raise the thyroid levels enough, then consider Armour. But Armour is quite a ride, I have been on it for awhile now and am still constantly adjusting my dose. IMO, stay away from any kind of cortizone for the adrenals. [ ] OT: Adrenal/Thryoid issues I am unsure what to do here. I know that I have fatigued adrenals, and slow thyroid. Desperate to treat both now but not sure the wisest course, should I treat one first or both. I did have amalgams removed two months ago, and know that it is mercury related. Doc suggested I wait a year to see if thyroid bounces back. But I am stressed, edgy, moody, can't relax, fatigued, and not functioning well. So of course, I would like some relief and not sure which to treat first that might provide a more dramatic relief to the agony. Or can I treat them both. Should I just add iodine for the thyroid and treat the adrenal for now? Please advise, I have researched but I am still not getting what to do and how. Guest guest
You and I are in the same boat. I have grave's disease, which started out hyper then slowly started falling into hypo. Everything I have been told by my regular doctor has been either usesless, foolish or wrong. I feel like I am at the end of my illness, and that I am only one or two interventions away from complete recovery. If I had to do it over again, I would do this: Start the Specific Carbohydrate Diet right away. Drink a cup of weak tea every morning before breakfast. Do some kind of relaxation excersizes Take bladderwrack and MB12 nasal spray (I haven't done this yet, but it is my next step. Actually, I should have probably started with MB12). > > I am unsure what to do here. I know that I have fatigued adrenals, and > slow thyroid. Try to find a doctor who will listen to how you're feeling and try to help you get better. The about.com thyroid site has a list of doctors who prescribe Armour, or you can try looking for a local DO or CAM practitioner. But I am stressed, edgy, > moody, can't relax, fatigued, and not functioning well. I know, it really stinks. Get a copy of Andy's " Amalgam Illness " , if you don't have one already, and look up your symptoms. He has extensive suggestions on what to take to ease symptoms while you chelate or prepare to chelate.
