I've increased his enzymes to two caps per meal/ snack. Boy! What a

difference! He's been eating so much better.

I'm going to finish the Candex and possibly try the ia.

Does " yeast die off " make stool more acidic? We're knee deep in

diaper rash!

Should I increase his Calcium?

Thanks

Great!

For my kids, diaper rash meant they were eating something not tolerated.

Depends. How much do you give? Do you notice a difference when you

increase it?

Hi Dana

Diaper rash is gone since I've stopped the Candex. I did start him

on ia after all. He's eating better than ever. (4 - 5 meals a

day!!) Perhaps due to yeast coming out?

He is soooo much calmer in the past couple of days. Stimming has

increased but overshadowed by small gains we're seeing.

In the past too much Cal/Mag = loose stools and gut pain.

Right now all he can tolerate is 1/8 tsp twice a day.

I think the Cal/Mag ratio is too much for him to have the full dosage.

I think I remember reading somewhere that increasing calcium helps

balance the body's PH levels.

Can I give Calcium by alone without the magnesium?

Thanks

Sounds good! Eating better might be because of a variety of things,

but if he is eating better, then that is good, no matter what the reason.

My son was calcium toxic, and giving any calcium caused loose stools,

hyper, and serious regression. Are you sure he is calcium deficient

and needs the supplementation?

Giving calcium without magnesium is not generally recommended, because

calcium requires magnesium [and vitamin D] for proper absorption. So

calcium alone might cause issues like my son had, or kidney stones, or

other things. But you can try a low dose alone, see if you notice

anything.

His last hair test showed low Calcuim. (result was 97

and reference range was 125-370) Test was done 8

months ago. He could be on target for cal now.

We plan to do another hair test in 4 months.

I did order calcium/mag from kirkman (trial size)

I'll try that and see how it goes.

DAN doc wants to do an OAT test and another urine

(yeast) test. Do you think the ia will effect

the results?

I wish I would have found the ia sooner. It

seems to be working! My son waved to me this morning

just out of the blue.

If it is addressing his yeast overgrowth problem, then yes, the tests

should come up negative.
