Guest guest
You are right. I do get freaked out about this because my little guy's first neurologist actually ran some amino acid tests (don't think he had any clue what to do with them) which showed that Asher's glutamate level was high. I have heard all of the wonderful things about glutamine supplementation. Asher does have a low threshold for getting too excited and hand flapping. For those reasons, I have steered clear of the glutamine and other glutamate precursors (to the extent I am aware of that effect) so far. I did look to see if there was anything I could find that would help convert the excess glutamate to gaba, but couldn't find anything. I wonder what is required for that process? Thanks for hogging the board with me today. I have a funny feeling that I am going to do more of this once I finally finish my last two projects for work.... That will be such a nice feeling! As it is, they are not going very quickly, especially when I have " chase down " days like today.... :-) Best, Anne > > > > > > > > Seems they do all have mushrooms.
