Hi Darci,

Health from the Sun makes a liquid EFA that contains borage oil, flaxseed oil,

and evening primrose oil. It is available at some HFS, in an opaque bottle,

generally in the refrigerated supplements case. It tastes like butter and works

well just drizzled over carbs and veggies.

Hi there,

I was just looking into the ESkimo fish oil I was giving my son
because something is causing him to break out in hives. I gave him
his dose of mixed supplements minus the Eskimo oil-no hives, then
about a half hour later I gave him the Eskimo oil and he broke out in
hives. I saw that Rosemary is listed in the ingrediants so I looked
up seizures and rosemary on google and found that rosemary oil can
trigger seizures, which my son also has. I have been giving him
Nordic Natural Cod liver oil for a long time, but just recently added
in Eskimo oil as well because it doesn't have the Vit. A, and I had
read that increasing the Omega 3's can help with seizures. The Nordic
Naturals also contains rosemary. I am wondering if anyone knows of an
omega 3 oil that does not contain rosemary, maybe someone is using
one? I see that the flax oil that I have does not contain rosemary,
but it also contains omega 6's. I just thought I would share this
information that I came across. I don't know why my son would break
out in hives from the ESkimo oil and not the Nordic Naturals Cod liver
when they both contain rosemary, maybe the increase. Or it is
possible this isn't even the reason for the hives, but I am going to
test it again.
>

Thanks,
Hi ,

Thanks for your post. I have also read that borage oil is not good

to give kids with seizures. I just don't know where I am going to

find Omega 3's but I am going to keep searching. Thanks again.

Health from the Sun also has straight flaxseed oil, but I've heard it's not a

tasty as the blend.

Thanks ,

I actually found that the Arctic oil comes without the Rosemary. I

wasn't aware that there were different ones other than the flavored

and non flavored. The one with the Rosemary has enhanced stablizers

in it. It looks pretty much the same, but states on the front

Enhanced Stablizers.

Thanks!!
