Guest guest
Well, this is the response I got from Colgate-Palmolive regarding the ingredients in 's Oil soap. Looks like it contains a dilute formaldahyde solution as a preservative, but my admittedly untrained eyes cannot find a mercury additive: **reply** Dear Ms Haselow Thank you for contacting us with your question. You can be assured that Colgate-Palmolive will introduce products into the marketplace only after their ingredients have established an exhaustive scientific record of safety and efficacy. Guest guest
Notice the wording " no mercury is intentionally added " meaning they don't have to list it if they didn't " intentional " add it. So, it still could contain mercury that " piggy backs " with some other ingredient. Guest guest
I did not originate the post and have no connection to the statement about " intentional. " My part of the thread was to point out that the statement about intention doesn't say that the product *is* mercury free; it only indicates that they don't intentionally add mercury.
