Guest guest
We will not use any other brand for EFA's. They are about as pure and contaminent free that you will find. FYI go to their website: www.nordicnaturals.com and click on " Doctors Med. " Then go to " Why Nordic Naturals? " , then click on " Exceptional Purity Levels " . My dh sees a well known Chiropractor for Diet, Nutrition and to naturally lower his cholesterol and BP. The Dr. carries a certain brand of supplements that do not have to be purchased through him. However, I laughed when I saw the Pro Omega from NN... the only supp that was not of this brand. When I told him that he was taking the same brand of Omega's as our grandson, dh said that this Doc made a point of saying that he highly recommends NN as they can't be beat for quality and purity. Geesh... I feel like a mainstream MD who gets kickbacks from the company... but I'm not...LOL...!!! -Trish > > My doc recommended that my son use nordic naturals. > anyo e using it? This company was started specifically for kids with heavy metal toxicity. It is extremely important to be careful when selecting a source of cod liver oil. CLO's available in traditional outlets are standardized with synthetic vitamin A palmitate. Furthermore, much of the oil available can be contaminated or contain elevated levels of heavy metals, pesticides, or PCB's. It's also critical to insure that Cod Liver Oil is stable and does not turn rancid. Here is a link to the kirkman COL page: http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/products/vitamins/codliver/Cod_Liver_Flavored l_L_8_Spec228.html Even if your child is not showing metals in his/her tests anymore, the tissues where the metal was still needs to heal. These products will help heal damaged tissues and replace vital vitamins, EPA & DHA that can be depleted during chelation & during the illness of heavy metal tocicity. Hope this helps, _______________________________________________ >

Guest guest
Nordic Naturals is fine. They actually have their assay right on their website and right on the bottle it states that it does not contain heavy metals. We use NN, tastes great, largely based on their published assay. Guest guest
With all this focus on heavy metals I sometimes forget that fish oil doesn't contain mercury. The mercury stays in the meat. I only use Nordic Naturals because they molecularly distill their product down to parts per trillion leaving out the stuff we can't chelate! (e.g.....PCBs, dioxin, brominated flame retardants, etc). But if anyone knows any other company with the same standard please let me know and I'll save some money:) Sheri Wang > > My doc recommended that my son use nordic naturals. > anyo e using it? Guest guest
We have not used it, as we chose to go with Forti Flax for our EFA's. But my son did seem to brighten up when we started EFA's. They also helped stabalize mood swings in myself and the kids. He seemed to perk up when we started those. It was one of our first interventions, those and probiotics. They are now recomending pregnant women take EFA's. We did research on the fish oil EFA's at first to see what options were out there if we did use them. As I was very concerned with mercury content, etc. This was the only one that seemed the higest quality and the safest. Since my doc told me NO fish products at all for one year following my amalgam removals, even if it was tested, I figure I better listen for now. I think EFA's are essential to brain function in all of us. If it eases your mind try flax seed for his EFA's. Barlean's are organic cold pressed, they also have flax oil. They do not use any pesticides or chemicals. But I would think that the mercury in the enviornment from coal fired power plants is higher than what might be in Nordics. There testing says no detectable levels. > > > > > > My doc recommended that my son use nordic > > naturals. > > > anyo e using it? I worry about the hg that may > > be in > > > it.
