What doesnt have mercury in it?

Well, apparently if you use Softscrub and wash your hands/face with

Dove soap you are also exposing yourself to mercury. I think it is

used as a fungicide.

I didn't read this document thoroughly enough to find a date, but it may be

My husband is sitting here looking over the list because I am freaking out that

what we use to wash our dishes contains mercury. He said because we don't leave

the soap on, we rinse it off, it is not an issue. I want to change our

thermostat, as I read from the link it contains mercury. He thinks I am over

reacting. He said the mercury in all these products is so minimal. Anyone want

to ream him out?

Let me sing again the praises of Logan's " Clean House, Clean

Planet " , which is a book of recipes for cleaning products plus some

info on which ones are OK.

I thought it would be just one more thing to overwhelm me, but once I

started making my own I'll *never go back. The floor cleaner is easy

-- fill a spray bottle with half white vinegar, half water. Add 20 -30

drops of your favorite essential oil. That's it. ANd it works, and

your house smells great, not chemical-ly.

Advertisement NOT over, because it really is a great book! She has a

recipe for a " Soft Scrub " - like cleaner that is so safe I can use it

to scrub pots and pans. And it even cleans well! Amazing. I love not

having to feel uneasy every time I reach for the bottle.

My husband is the same way. I just switched everything over to

natural products. He complains sometimes about the cost but then I

say something about the environment and he is ok. He does not

believe any of this is necessary for our daughter. Either way I

feel better about my daughter and the environment so it is a win/win

for me.
