Guest guest
If you've determined fluoride is bad, and filter for it (I understand RO works), is there anything you can do about the fluoride you've already consumed? Can you chelate for it? > > Ghina Hi Ghina, You can displace the fluoride by consuming iodine and sea salt. Fluoride and bromide, chloride, etc are halogens. They displace iodine, which the thyroid needs for healthy normal function. You want to reduce your consumption of the unhealthy halogens and increase your iodine levels. Iodine deficiency has been implicated in fibrocystic breast disease, thyroid (hyper & hypo) prostate cancer, breast cancer and other cancer. I couldn't possibly do this subject justice. I've only learned about it myself. The first link is to a group that will bring you up to speed. They have a great FILES section. iodine/?yguid=260502182 Bromine is in many baked goods and beverages like Mountain Dew. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brominated_vegetable_oil The chlorine and fluoride in our drinking water are the worst things we could possibly do to our thyroid glands. Here is another link which will give you some background on halogens: http://www.scienceclarified.com/Ga-He/Halogens.html All the best, Orelindel
