" Minamata disease is a neurological syndrome caused by severe

mercury poisoning. Symptoms include ataxia, numbness in the hands

and feet, general muscle weakness, narrowing of the field of vision

and damage to hearing and speech. In extreme cases, insanity,

paralysis, coma and death follow within weeks of the onset of

symptoms. Minamata disease was first discovered in Minamata city in

Kumamoto prefecture, Japan in 1956. It was caused by the release of

methyl mercury in the industrial waste from the Chisso Corporation's

chemical factory. Over 2,250 victims have been officially certified

(1,400 of which have died) and another 10,000 have received

financial compensation from Chisso. It is estimated that over 2

million people may have eaten contaminated fish from Minamata Bay.

"

All the victims have no Autism symptoms.

Who can explain it for me?

Thanks in advance

Joe

Minimanta disease -- interesting.

Never heard of it but it sounds like you are comparing this with today's

autism which is also thought to be mercury poisoning. I can't speak to the

details of Minimanta disease but AUTISM is gradual mercury poisoning over a

period of years. Mercury poisoning occurs due to exposure to a baby's exposure

to amalgams, then several mercury-based vaccinations over the first several

years of life.

The effects of gradual mercury poisoning during early development is AUTISM --

speech disorders, slow mental development etc.

I can only theorize that a heavy dose of mercury poisoning during adulthood

results in Minimanta disease.

Burbacher 2005 indicates that the two different forms of mercury react

differently. Of course, the study chose two different routes, ethyl by needle

and methyl by mouth. From this research it certainly looks like ethylmercury is

up to seventy times more neurotoxic than tuna mercury.

Re: [ ] Who can explain it ?

They were exposed to METHYL mercury and vaccines have ETHYL mercury. Just a

guess that different forms cause different damage and symptoms

Those *are autism symptoms. Hg poisoning affects different people in

different ways, and the age of exposure matters a lot, as well as the

form of Hg.

Read Kirby's " Evidence of Harm " . He's got the recent history of

Hg poisoning including Minimata's.

If you have or can find the National Geographic from Oct or Nov of 1971, there's

a long article on Minimata and mercury poisoning.

I have a cousin that works at NG if you need help finding this. Thinking I

might ask her about it anyway, sounds like a good article to have on hand.
