Guest guest
I need advice. My son is 4 yrs old and weighs about 39 lbs. I would like to stop using dan doctor and start using Andy Cutler method. I don't know much about so I need advice on dosages of Ala and Dmsa. Which brand is best, how much, and how often. We have had him on many supplements, and has had 5 rounds of td- dmsa so far. He has mild Asd, with a few verbal stims, hyperactivity, agression at times, but he has come along way with communication and I would say is nearly normal. But Ive been reading that the ALa is better at getting the mercury out of the brain. The Dan doctor is getting way too expensive, and I've almost ran out of money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you L

I would > like to stop using dan doctor and start using Andy Cutler method. Excellent plan. I don't know much about so I need advice on dosages of Ala and Dmsa. 1/8 - 1/2 mg. per pound of each, every three hours (can do 4 at night) for at least 3 days on and at least as many days off as on. > Which brand is best, how much, and how often. DMSA from VRP.com, ALA is available many places, brands, etc. >We have had him on many supplements, and has had 5 rounds of td- dmsa so far. You can use the rest of your DMPS on Andy's schedule, if that is more convenient. Others can help you with adjusting the doses to DMPS' half-life of 8 hours. He has mild Asd, > with a few verbal stims, hyperactivity, agression at times, but he has > come along way with communication and I would say is nearly normal. > But Ive been reading that the ALa is better at getting the mercury out > of the brain. DMSA and DMPS don't cross the BBB, so they only pick up body stores. ALA is lipophilic, so it does cross the BBB. The Dan doctor is getting way too expensive, and I've > almost ran out of money. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! Read the files (including the supplements file), make sure the basics (E, C, Bs, Mag, etc.) are in place, and start chelating gently. Use the onibasu archives at www.onibasu.com as a research tool, and ask questions as they come up. Good luck! >

Did you do a hair test? There is a FAQ with basic info in the Files section - also check out the Andy_Index which has lots more information. --
Guest guest
> > Hi Dana, > > My boy is 4.4yrs old weighing 15kg. abt 30pounds. > Is the ALA you use TD or oral? What would you recommend for the type and dosage of ALA for him? I used oral. I started my older kids with 25mg per dose and my younger kids with 10mg. I don't know if your child will tolerate 3x per day, but you can try it if you want. Most kids tolerate ALA every 3-4 hours, so you can do that protocol if you want to start conservatively. Guest guest
> > Dana I wpuld also like to know which brand of ALA you used Natural Factors. >> and was it > just 25mg 3 times per day every day? 3-6 days " on " , and 4-10 days " off " . I gave it every day at the end of chelation tho, approx round 100. >> What were the results and how > soon did you see results. I saw results within the first 10 rounds, he stopped having phenol intolerance issues. I documented his progress here, about the middle of the page http://www.danasview.net/myson.htm Chelation eliminated food and supplement intolerance, and eliminated gut-yeast overgrowth issues. It was the supplements that caused the recovery tho. >>Did you use dmsa at all? No Dana
