I upped the magnesium (took more during the round at the nighttime doses). Never had it again. If you search Onibasu and put in " flank pain " , you should pull up some posts from the archives. Not saying it's NOT your kidney, but my understanding is the flank pain is not uncommon. Your dose for your weight and timing? in Illinois
Guest guest
Here's a link which show the location of the kidneys. http://medicine.ucsd.edu/clinicalmed/abdomen-kidneys3.JPG S S > HI all, I have only had 2 doses of DMSA today as my first day of chelation<br> > and my kidneys are hurting. Guest guest
I had flank pain and kidney aching with my first round. I added half a tablet of B-1 with each dose of dmsa. My hair test indicated high cadmium which requires taking B-1 to protect them during chelation. This stopped the problem for me. I only take 12.5 mg of dmsa every four hours. > > HI all, I have only had 2 doses of DMSA today as my first day of chelation > and my kidneys are hurting. I am drinking plenty of water. I am drinking plenty of water. Should I knock > back the dose more or quit it? This may not be relevant, but I thought I would mention it in case the other ideas don't work for you. I took UP6 to eliminate calcium build-up [kidney stones]. For the first few doses, it actually *caused* the beginnings of kidney stones. So I reduced the dose and took it much more frequently, and the stones disappeared. So it is possible that the DMSA is pulling minerals, including perhaps calcium, which are lodging in the kidneys. You have pain in your lower back, which you presume is your kidneys. Actually, if you were to do something that killed your kidneys you would not experience pain in the kidney area. Kidney problems that do cause pain do not generally cause it in this area either. Most likely what you have is lower back pain due to lower back problems, exacerbated by DMSA helping move mercury around and thus temporarily deranging mineral transport a bit more and preventing proper utilization of magnesium. Taking magnesium more often during chelation may well solve this. Andy..... . . .
