We are using a product call X-Clear Nasal Wash with very good results. It has

something called xylitol in it. We were told our child needed his adnoids out

and drainage tubes put in, but according to his last visit upon his doctor's

inspection the " infection " has been greatly reduced.

We used to put a couple of drops of garlic oil in the ears every few

days. Garlic is antimicrobial, and it ought to kill any bacteria in

the ear canal. It stinks to high heaven, but it was worth it. Warm

the bottle under your arm for a couple of minutes before placing the

drops so that it is comforting as well as therapeutic. If possible,

have the child lay on an old towel or put a bit of cotton in the ear

so the oil doesn't run right out.

We used garlic oil with our NT kid -- before I knew about biomed --

so I didn't check out whether the product had other chemicals, etc.,

that might be problematic for a kid on the spectrum.

Hi,

My son had these for years..... (plus severe asthma, chest

infections etc), all those issues cleared up when he quit dairy

products (other than plain butter now).

Plus, he has a column heater on in his room every night (autumn,

winter, spring). He can't regulate his temperature, is sensory to

bedding so can't be covered. This way, he never chills and seems to

get ill way less often. Summer is a hassle keeping him cool without

chilling...

After I had my son's IgG allergies tested by a company that

GUARANTEED it would dramatically reduce ear infections, he went from

having them every month or two to having NONE over the past 2 years.

Both my older son and I had to have tubes put in, but I believe we've

headed that off at the pass for my younger one because we removed the

IgG + foods.

For my kids, ear infections were usually caused by yeast in the ears.

So try increasing your yeast protocol, see if that helps.

For my #2, they were also caused by mitochondrial issues causing

improper fat digestion. Giving any fats caused ear infections as well

as other problems, until I addressed the mito issues.

How does everyone seem to know how to tell if a child is " yeasty " .

Thanks for taking the time to make your suggestion.
