Consider doing a DDI hair elements test and applying the counting rules. I

wonder about antimony. How many mercury amalgam dental fillings does he have

and when were his most recent vaccines? Folks with ASD often have problems with

proprioception and vestibular issues(knowing where they end and the rest of the

world begins, where their body is in space), etc. Many rock or flap to

establish for themselves (If one rocks against the back of the sofa one can tell

where he or she is in relation to the sofa.) Is he getting OT or PT in school?

Sounds like he's not getting restive sleep. Does he eat shortly before going to

bed? Has he been doing this (talking, not feeling rested) for a long time?

What was going on around the time it started? Does he have a new bed or

mattress?

My 12-YO son talks in his sleep, and I mean he carries on
conversations. Unfortunately, I can't really make out what he is
saying, only a word or two here and there.

He does this almost every night. He tells me that he never sleeps
and is very tired in the morning. I explain to him that he is
asleep when I go to bed--that I know he is sleeping. He says he just
feels like he isn't getting good sleep.

Any ideas on what's going on? He handflaps excessively at times,
but now he never does it around other people (only family members).
However, once he starts handflapping and staring at an object, he
has a hard time stopping. I've also wondered about whether he is
having small seizures. He says that frequently he isn't aware that
he is handflapping. He just doesn't know he is doing it, but
sometimes he does. He has said that he feels like he needs to flap
because he has such high energy. He has very sweaty hands and feet,
which makes me think he is toxic. How can you not know that you are
shaking your hands vigorously while jumping up and down and making
very strange sounds?

I don't know if there is any connection with his sleep issues.
I'm a toxic adult. I had unrestful sleep for many years. What

has made a big difference for me is adrenal support, 5HTP, and

a homeopathic drainage remedy.

You description of sweaty hands and feet and excessive energy

sounds possibly like too much adrenaline to compensate for too

little cortisol (adrenal weakness). Adrenal problems can

result in poor sleep.

Hand flapping can be yeast overgrowth - which can be more

of a problem with weak adrenals.

A hair test can show whether adrenal problems are present.

Or you might consider trying some adrenal cortex extract

to see if it helps.

For my son, flapping was caused by B vitamin deficiency and virus issues.

Food intolerance and phenol intolerance can cause " high energy " . So

can certain supplements.

This can be a sign of detox, from an intolerance during the day.
