Guest guest
Does anyone use the vitamin supplement Advaclear? I'm wondering if anyone sees any issues giving this to a 9yo as his multivitamin. The doc thought it would be a good fit. He would probably take 2-4 capsules. He currently is getting extra Vit C, B5, B12, Taurine, Zinc, Magnesium, and Manganese, but we would check the dosages to make sure none of these were redundant of course. I came across it in a search for L-5-methyl tetrahydrofolate because he needs that form due to MTHFR gene. The FolaPro (same company) is in very hard to cut tablets that I have to cut and put into capsules each week, I just thought this might be easier and good for him. I've never found a multi that works... Nell
Guest guest
This multi looks good, I don't have a problem with palmitate, didn't know it was a problem. Watch out for this form of folic acid, most do fine with it and are actually helped, but some people get depressed and irritable with it. Hi, Like Nell, I'm not a fan of multi's. I think 4 caps of this per day would be more copper than you'd want. (Most kids on the spectrum ned to avoid copper.) I'm not sure if the amount of NAC would be a problem at 4 caps/day, but it's something to think about. I try to stay away from cyanocobalamin (preferrring methylcobalmin which is presumably what you mean by B12), but there is not much in this. It has magnesium, but no calcium. If you are also giving magnesium apart from this, you might think about whether you also need calcium. W.
