Guest guest
That could be an allergic reaction. Have you eaten anything out of the ordinary? Could be the filler. What is your filler? If it's the LDN, I don't think there's much of a way to know if it will go away. The amount of Naltrexone in a 4.5 mg capsule is SO tiny. Something like a grain of sand. Hope it gets better soon. Guest guest
Hi : I too experience palpitations, I have a mitral valve proplapse which is a leaky heart valve. My palpitations have come and gone with this condition, but in the 2nd and 3rd week into taking the 1.5mg I did notice increased palpitations. I do believe that the fatigue played a big role in that. Perhaps you are not getting enough rest, or stress can also play a huge factor in that as well. I am on 3.0mg now and the palpitations have settled down quite a bit. Hopefully you will feel better soon. Stick with it though, as I almost stopped taking the drug because of the palpitations but continued because I knew that the benefits of the drug far outweighed the inconvenience of these palpitations. I am also followed by a cardiologist and I brought these concerns to him after doing a EKG and Echocardiogram, he was not concerned. If they persist for you maybe you should consider seeing your family doctor, and discuss it with them. I believe though in time they will probably settle down. keep us posted on how your doing. All the best. --- mclea1972 <mclea1972@...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > I am took my 6th dose of 4.5 mg of ldn last night > getting from a > compounding pharmacy on the ldnorg approved list. > Taking it for > autoimmune lupus/sjorens type symptoms everything > was going great. EXCEPT, I do recall two incidents that these symptoms you are having came to someone who started LDN for MS and they later found out they had lyme disease instead of MS. These symptoms came about further into their starting LDN. LDN can possibly activate an underlying disease like lyme or candida yeast, etc. You may want to see a lyme literate doctor and get tested for lyme via IGeneX Labs if this continues. If the palpatations continue stop the LDN and get further testing, especially for lyme disease.
Guest guest
> Hi , I'm taking LDN for Sjogren's, Hashi's, vitiligo --- and I've experienced the rapid heart beat too -- maybe at about day 4 or 5(?) And I may have had some palpitations too but because I've had mitral valve prolapse (MVP) issues in the past I really don't pay them too much attention anymore. (I took extra magnesium for over a year to " cure " my MVP.) I attribute this recent experience of rapid heart beat to my thyroid issues (Hashi's) -- thinking that LDN may perhaps be making my thyroid work more effectively --??-- and thus perhaps had some excess thyroid hormones to process...??? No way of knowing precisely...just my take on it. I'm on day 17 taking LDN...and I can't say that I've noticed any more of that rapid heart beating going on. Guest guest
, I'm so glad you asked this question. I am in the Penn State trial for Crohn's and I may or may not be taking LDN (could be a placebo). I started the trial in mid November, and about 2 weeks later, I experienced pretty strong chest pains and heart palpitations, which lasted for about an hour and a half. Then, it happened again about a week later, but not so much pain as discomfort. Then, yesterday, as I was sitting at the table having Christmas dinner, the palpitations happened again, and this time my eyes crossed. This lasted less than a minute. I have no idea if it could be related to the LDN. I am a 29 year old female and also take birth control, synthroid, zoloft and asacol. Any input is appreciated. I'll be letting Dr. know about this when I see her on Jan. 11th.
Guest guest
Hi , As Synthroid is a synthetic thyroid hormone, one of many possibilities is that LDN could somehow be effecting a boost of thyroid hormone production, which may in turn result in over-stimulation (refer to the extract below). Hormones are most definitely an integral part of our immune systems. As we don't yet know anywhere near as much as we'd like to know about how LDN works, please contact Dr for an opinion regarding these new symptoms. Kind regards, Cris Extract from Drugs.com website follows: What side effects may occur? Side effects from Synthroid, other than overdose symptoms, are rare. People who are treated with Synthroid may initially lose some hair, but this effect is usually temporary. You may have an allergic reaction such as a rash or hives. Children may have an increase in pressure within the skull. Excessive dosage or a too rapid increase in dosage may lead to overstimulation of the thyroid gland. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop any if the following symptoms. Symptoms of overstimulation: Abdominal cramps, anxiety, changes in appetite, change in menstrual periods, chest pain, diarrhea, emotional instability, fatigue, fever, flushing, hair loss, headache, heart attack or failure, heat intolerance, hyperactivity, increased heart rate, irregular heartbeat, irritability, muscle weakness, nausea, nervousness, palpitations, shortness of breath, sleeplessness, sweating, tremors, vomiting, weight loss http://www.drugs.com/pdr/synthroid.html > > , > I'm so glad you asked this question. Guest guest
Hi , Dr. Hoffman likes magnesium taurate for that. Guest guest
Hi , I was wondering what happened to you - how are you doing on the LDN? Alana > > , > I'm so glad you asked this question. Guest guest
I e-mailed Dr. earlier today and she replied within a few minutes. She informed me that cardiac symptoms are NOT a side effect of LDN, but she will be glad to do an EKG when I see her on the 11th. She said that if it gets worse, to go see my family doc before then (I have to drive 4.5 hours each way when I see Dr. ). MY SED rate and C-Reactive Protein are both still elevated but my white cell count is down from 6 point something to 3 point something. I've been feeling pretty decent, still very tired though. I'll DEFENITELY be on the LDN beginning in February after my second colonoscopy. I can't wait to see the comparative results from my first one. I'll let you guys know! Guest guest
: Association is not causation. It is highly unlikely that LDN had anything at all to do with it. I'd recommend seeing a cardiologist as cardiac arrythmia can cause bloodclots to form resulting in stroke and pulmonary embolism. Far more likely you have HTN or a primary cardiac disease unless you're taking a lot of stimulants and are under physical and emotional stress. It wouid be irresponsible for any other suggestion to be offered. The hundreds of thousands who die each year from heart disease would say the same... red pill Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
Hi Red Pill, I'm sorry - I thought it would go without saying that one should see their Doctor right away for that. It should also go without saying that one should always talk to their Doctor before supplementing with anything. I was just offering suggestion on supplement to look into, in case they were not aware. Guest guest
Thanks but it was none of the thing you listed it was my neuropathy affecting the nerves by my heart. It hasn't happened since that one day of it. > > : > Association is not causation. It is highly unlikely that LDN had anything at all to do with it.
