Guest guest
> Thanks for your input very much. I don't quite know what deficiency signs fro calcium would present like - I did receive a suggestion that perhaps eye-gouging and chin-pushing behaviors may be calcium deficiency related? Pushing on the eyeballs is one sign of calcium deficiency. However, you can be calcium toxic AND deficient at the same time. I liked pressing on my eyeballs in the shower, but at the same time had kidney stone issues. The calcium I was eating was just floating around and lodging in the kidneys, and not being absorbed. If your child is pressing on his eyeballs, try giving calcium along with lots of magnesium and vitamin D. > What would be a good test for assessing nutritional levels? I don't really know one to recommend. I determined all my son's issues by observation. > So, what would be the behaviors/signs of calcium toxicity, or deficiency, in your experience? Deficiency can be pressing on the eyeballs, frequent broken bones, bad teeth [can also be lead toxicity], and a few other things. The eyeball pressing is the most common. Toxicity can be kidney stones, extreme hyper and distractibility, and a few other things. Dana
