Guest guest
Eilidh - When the body cannot detox through the proper organs it will push the toxins out through the skin. What may be happening is your gut flora can't handle the candida on its own so it's pushing it out. The under arm and groin areas are 2 important lymphatic areas in the body. There are a number of things you can do, first and foremost I would eat none of the white food products (flour, rice, sugar, potatos). Possibly try a really good probiotic - start slow. When candida is this prominent I would not attack it aggressively with lots of supplements, it will drain your immune system and may possibly cause you much undue stress if it tries to get out of the body too fast. Some people have good luck with Nystatin, a fungal drug that treats candida only in the gut. Others have used systemic fungal drugs. I have only done diet and probiotics, epsom salt baths, lymphatic drainage, etc. Candida can be difficult to beat, but it can be done. Many have a worsening of symptoms when experience candida die-off but it's worth it. Sugar is so bad for the body, and one of the most difficult habits to break. Drink lots of water to help push the toxins out. I suspect this candida challenge is what's keeping the LDN from working. It's so important to keep the gut in check especially with LDN, otherwise it cannot work as expected. > > I have been taking 3mg LDN since July. No symptom improvements but I am feeling really good. I usually constantly have thrush but recently yeast infection has invaded my body (under arm and groin area). I feel this has put me a bit under par. Does anyone have any suggestions? Guest guest
Hi Cris, it wasn't my intention to correct someones spelling, who am I to do so? ;-) I ment to tell you that tea tree oil is good for yeast infections, so it was an answer. (should be the other way around, my grammar / spelling is not the best, but I learn more each day :-) Have a nice evening! Guest guest
Hi there - I just joined the group, so pardon me if I'm "interrupting" or being rude. I started using 3 mg. LDN in late July for my MS. Not sure if it has stopped the progression of my Secondary Progressive MS, but the Srotonin/lack of depression are worthwhile. I jumped up to the 4.5 mg. in December but think I will move back to the 3 mg. I'm small structured/light-weight woman. ANYWAY - about the yeast and thrush: the pharmacist who compounds the LDN in this area (S.E. WA state) mixes it with Acidopholus, rather than calcium. That certainly helps keeps the yeast at bay. Also, I suggest you eat yoghurts with live cultures (none of those sugary 'sweet' so-called yoghurts) and avoid sugar as much as possible (no soda pop either). The over-the-counter treatment for women's yeast infections are effective. So is the Tea Tree oil. Best of luck!
