Guest guest
Dear , I also have what I call a Quivery feeling "inside" ever since I started taking the Imuran and Prednisone. And yes, it is a very hard symptom to descripe. I have been on the Imuran and Prednisone for about two years now and I still get the Quivery feeling or shaky feeling, but does not seem as bad as when it first started or maybe it is just because I am use to it now and do not notice as much?????????????? So many strange symtoms with the Liver Disease and then more strange side effects from the medications. Hang in there! Guest guest
Hi ...I know the feeling also. I have recently been told I am hypoglaucimac. Please keep this in mind if it gets really bad. But the feeling that I would say is always there is kind of like " I am just off " . That is the only way I can explain it. My husband gets frustrated sometimes at my not being able to explain it any better. But make sure you mention it to your Hep. Good luck. Guest guest
It's hard, isn't it. I had a beautiful pure black german shepherd. I actually got a discount on him, because he couldn't be shown, as being pure black was not a trait in the breed for show. He was a cool dog though, I walked him around everywhere and then he started getting sick. He couldn't eat, and just spit up anything he did get in. I stayed there with him, called the vet, it was blizzard weather and Jan 1, so you can imagine the service I got. I stayed with him night and day, for 2 days until the vet came in for me. The dog was guaranteed against distemper, the vet suggested I return him to the breeders, which I did. He told me that a dog could survive with distemper, and I remain blissfully ignorant of his fate, but it was a hearwrenching time. -dz- Re: [ ] Shakey Diane when I found him I fell to my knees and have cried ever since..I am devestated over this..Floyd said when he comes in he'll buy me another one but no one can take Shakey's place..I miss him so much..He and I woke up together each morning..I am loss without him..I knowit sounds sily to miss a dog so much but I always said he was human..Thanks Diane..Diane <jerseygirlforever21 4@...> wrote: Oh Jan I am so sorry about little Shakey!!!!! Guest guest
, Both Adderall and Trazodone can definitely cause tremors, so I would start there. While dosage recommendations for Adderall have been established for children, the safety and effectiveness of Trazodone in children dosage has not yet been established. It could also be the combination of the two. On Nov 26, 2006, at 1:04 PM, Ken Maher wrote: > Our daughter, 10 yrs is a bit shakey lately. Guest guest
, Thinking Trazadone can be responsible for something called " tardive dyskinesis " a trembling of the hands. Did the dr mention this as a possible side effect before you started giving the medication? Call the dr or try eliminating the trazadone and see if it doesn't resolve itself although I am not well versed in how the meds work or when/if this symptom goes away. Try googling " Trazadone and side effects " and see what information you can come up with. [ ] SHAKEY Our daughter, 10 yrs is a bit shakey lately. Does anyone have this with their kids, and if so, what do you find is the culprit. We find it to be most noticeable in her hands. Guest guest
, Tardive dyskinesia, is associated with Respiradol, not sure about Trazadone. Trazadone is associted with erections that won't go away. We used it to get my son to go to sleep. Now we use melatonin instead. Guest guest
Pretty sure that tardive dyskinesia can occur with Trazadone. The incidence with atypical antipsychotic drugs like Trazadone is lower than more frequently used antipsychotic medications, but it can and does occur. The enzymes might be allowing the medications to be better absorbed, meaning you need to reduce the dose or eliminate the medications entirely. At least consider reducing the dose. If you suspect tardive dyskinesia, try ideas here http://www.kroger.com/hn/Concern/Tardive_Dyskinesia.htm Dana
Guest guest
, My dd has always had this issue till the past few months. It csn be a number of things. The children are all so different. Many of her friends have brought this up to her to the point it embarrasses her. But with her, when really started to hit the yeast, it has gotten much better. We also went GF/CF, it got better. So I think it is many things, but mostly the neuroligic system responding to what they are not or not are getting. My dd is also on medication concerta and ritalin on low doses while we try to do bio medical at the same time. Have you done any bio med testing? But for us, it was the yeast and the gut issues. It takes investigation. B vitamins will help if she can tolerate them. Let me know how it goes. Bridget > > Our daughter, 10 yrs is a bit shakey lately. Guest guest
Certainly any drug can do almost anything in somebody, but tardive dyskinesia is due primarily to abnormalities associated with dopamine receptors ( I forget if D1 or D2) brought about by antipsychotics that act as dopamine antagonists. Trazodone actually acts on serotonin receptors (it could almost be viewed as the first SSRI, 30 years ahead of the pack) and has little or no effect on dopamine receptors. So it would be an unlikely cause of tardive dyskinesia. Of note, in the child under discussion, the tremor is most prominent in the hands. This sounds more like tremor. Of the drugs mentioned, Adderall seems the most likely suspect. Hyperthyroidism, nervousness, excitement, or familial tremor are all on the list. As, of course, is the tremor typical of mercury poisoning. It is a lot more common for adults to get it than children, but it is a classic sign. Guest guest
Trazadone and Aderall can do this to her. Please look up the side effects for those drugs and reconsider giving them to her. Some children have shown to develop permanent tics and tremors from ADD meds. Things like trazadone were not designed and likely never tested on children. So the long term implications on the nervous system are unknown. > > Our daughter, 10 yrs is a bit shakey lately. Does anyone have this with their kids, and if so, what do you find is the culprit. Guest guest
I know medications can cause tremor, you would have essential tremors. My son does has significant resting hand tremors, that started a few weeks after getting the flu vaccine. One Pediatric Neurologist said it looks like my son has anterior horn-cell dysfunction that is causing the hand tremors. I always thought it was related to the dopamine receptors, Unless the anterior horn-cell is related to dopamine receptors, I havent researched it. Here is my sons resting hand tremors, He was almost asleep. They are NOT seizures. A 54-year-old man had a syndrome resembling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis after a brief but intense exposure to elemental mercury. The syndrome resolved as his urinary mercury levels fell. Mercury toxicity must be considered not only in individuals with recent anterior horn-cell dysfunction but also with otherwise unexplained peripheral neuropathy, tremor, ataxia, and a gamut of psychiatric symptoms including confusion and depression. http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/250/5/642 Donna > > > Of note, in the child under discussion, the tremor is most prominent in > > the hands.
