Guest guest
My son is 15, and I feel I really need to address his probable Mercury toxicity as agressively as possible. He has become very EXTREMELY prompt dependent and OCD to the point where I would love it if he would go back to " just being Autistic. " He made progress on Andy's DMSA protocol back in 2001, but his doc would not prescribe DMSA anymore bc he felt he was not dumping Hg. I then went to ALA every weekend. Unfortunately was not able to continue because my Hg toxicity worsened since my fillings and teeth have been breaking, and I simply CANNOT remember to dose him at the right times...even using an alarm clock did not work for me, I would forget on my way to get then ALA and get sidetracked. I am looking at trying TD-DMPS and/or TD-ALA for my son. Does anyone have any suggestions? Remember on the airplane when the stewardess advises us to put the oxygen mask on the mother before the child. It's the same sort of thing with mercury and chelation. We need to look after the mother so that she can look after the kids and the rest of the family. There are many interventions mentioned in Andy Cutler's 'Amalgam Illness' book (links section) that will help a poisoned person even if they can't afford to have all of their amalgams removed right away (no chelation until all amalgams removed). Diet, supplements, and for some people medications can make a poisoned person feel so much better and function so much better. I am speaking from experience. If I had not changed my diet, added the right supplements, and started taking several medications I would never have been able to find my way to the dentist's office to have my amalgams removed. It is only after I started to feel better that I could even start to plan to chelate other family members. I am looking at trying TD-DMPS and/or > TD-ALA for my son. Does anyone have any suggestions? TD forms still must be dosed at the right time interval, carry a higher risk of developing allergic reactions, and have not been properly studied in that no one really knows how much chelator actually gets into the body (and the amount would vary depending on many factors). I would use oral DMPS. (That is what I am using to chelate myself). Oral DMPS can be dosed every 8 h and that makes it very easy to work with - a person can sleep through the night, and remembering 3 times a day is easy. After a certain amount of chelation with oral DMPS, when you feel that you can remember to dose every 3 h, oral ALA can be added. This is the strategy that I am using myself because I was forgetful and couldn't wake up at night when I first started chelation. After almost a year on very low dose oral DMPS I am at the point where I CAN remember some things and I CAN wake up at night!!!!! Now I leave the ALA & DMSA right next to the alarm clock. I take them out of the bottle and dose them and then re-set the alarm clock. I haven't tried transdermals so I can't advise on those. You also need to take care of yourself too. I think more clearly and have more energy when I take my supplements. Unfortunately I still have 2 fillings that need to come out before I can chelate myself.
Guest guest
Hi Lindy, When the alarm clock goes off -- put it on SNOOZE -- shut the alarm OFF only after you finished chelation. This may be annoying but wort it. Also, many cell phones have alarms. We set ours for every 3 hours. This way, we don't have to keep setting the alarm which can be a pain -- especially in the middle of the night. hanjkyla <kyleac@...> wrote: > I simply CANNOT remember to dose him at the right times...even using > an alarm clock did not work for me, I would forget on my way to get > then ALA and get sidetracked. Guest guest
Lindy, Get on some Vitamin C, and lots of it. I found this very helpful until I was able to remove my fillings. The ones that are broken now qualify to be replaced with composite under insurance if you have some. You can get dmsa without that doc if you should decide to use it again in the future. > > > > > > > I simply CANNOT remember to dose him at the right times...even > > using > > > an alarm clock did not work for me, I would forget on my way to get > > > then ALA and get sidetracked. Guest guest
---Hi Jan, Thanks, I have some powdered C for ...I will start taking some. As far as insurance...We are all on Medicaid since I am single mom and can only work part time while is in school. Of course their " dad " whom they have not seen since 1993, stopped paying child support in 2001...anyway...Medicaid will ONLY pay for getting all of my teeth pulled, nothing less. I am hoping this foundation pulls through for me. I am so tired of tasting metal or blood, since my gums bleed now... all the time. I can't even taste food anymore. Actually the ones that broke or fell out, there is nothing left to fill. The teeth broke off at or below the gum line, and will have to be surgically removed. Guest guest
I am really sorry to hear of your situation. I too am on Medicaid and have been through the fight with those jerks. Part of the prob is that they all have mercury in their teeth! I know they will not refill any teeth with composite unless they are in the front line. So your right about that, for molars its mercury of nothing. I tried getting them to fill them with composite if I paid the difference myself. The dentist wouldn't hear of it. Of course, this jerk told me that I would lose all of my teeth if I had them removed. Obviously not..here I am four months later with all of them IN! Any reason that you cannot get dad to pay? You don't need to give an answer here as it's personal, but if you get welfare for your son, at least in my state, they go after the dad for child support no matter where he is. At no cost to you. This might help your burden a bit. Do you mind if I ask which foundation? There have been warnings to be weary of anyone online offering free amalgam removal programs. I know I hate to say it, but I was at your place a year ago, and I was going to get them all pulled. I figured dentures was healthier than metal. I do hope you are able to find some help. > > > > > > > > > > > > > I simply CANNOT remember to dose him at the right times...even > > > > using > > > > > an alarm clock did not work for me, I would forget on my way > > to get > > > > > then ALA and get sidetracked.
