Guest guest
I have just ordered my naltrexone tablets from River Pharmacy. My dr gave me the ok to try it and offered to write a script, but it's so much cheaper to make your own. My question is, what kind of a bottle do you use? It says a small bottle with a screw-on cap. Did you just look around the house for a bottle to use, or did you buy one somewhere? I'm afraid I'm stuck on the small details! I joined this list about a month ago, referred by a friend who takes LDN. I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and CLL. My big project right now is trying to get off the durogesic pain patches. I hope to be off of them by the time my order arrives. My CLL is stage 0, watch & wait. I just saw my onc yesterday and my wbc actually went down from June. Hopefully, the LDN will keep that trend going. Thanks for all your help!!

(see my response to newcomer Liz.)Then I switched to the Belmar 4.5 mg tablet, and by week ten startedgetting into an awful fibro-flare, with wide-spread tenderness, andsevere rib cage pain. I thought for several weeks that I was justrevisiting old symptoms, especially those that developed right aftermy last flu shot. Now I really think the tablet may be to blame. So today I mixed up anew batch of liquid and mailed off a new script to Skip's pharmacy. Will let you know how it goes.I would hate to malign a pharmacy for mistaken reasons, so would bevery interested to hear if you and others are getting an adequateresponse to the Belmar tablet. Maybe I'm just having one of thoseinexplicable set-backs, but seven weeks seems a bit long, and I thinkI need to make a change, to test my theory.I am now in my 17th week on LDN.Konnie
Guest guest
> > HAS ANYONE EVER MADE THEIR OWN LDN, OR RECEIVED THEIR SUPPLY WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION > Yes Shayla, many of us have mixed our own LDN. You simply put a 50 mg tablet in a small brown glass jar with 50 ml distilled water, shake it, let it stand for awhile, and shake it some more. It should dissolve completely in 30-60 minutes. This yields a solution that gives you, obviously, 1mg per ml, so if you want to take 3mg of LDN you measure out 3 ml of your solution with a syringe. The solution must be refrigerated, shaken well every time you take a dose, and used up in less than a month. It is bitter, so you might want to put it in a little water flavored with a wee bit juice. Some take it straight and wash it down with water or juice. Though I think it is best to use LDN with the cooperation of a healthcare provider, it is possible to get it without a prescription. I don't know where you live, but in the USA we mostly get it from mail-order pharmacies in Canada, our good neighbor to the north. They have it sent to you from India, usually, and it will have a brand like Revia, or Nodict, or will just have the generic name of naltrexone. If you live on the Mexican border, you could probably just walk across the bridge and buy it from la pharmacia in Juarez or Tijuana :-) The Canadian pharmacies include River Pharmacy and All Day Chemist, but there are probably others. I once ordered a small supply from England, which turned out to be an Italian brand, Antaxone, and came in a 10 mg capsule, which would have to be mixed in 10 ml of water for the 1mg=1ml formula. Strangely enough, the website says they can't ship to the UK or the EU! Good luck to you, and please let us know how you do. Konnie

Guest guest
Is it ok to make LDN in a plastic bottle? I have a 50ml bottle from the pharmacy that's a kind of orangy color, but it's plastic. If it's pharmacy grade, does it make a difference or do I need to get the plastic one? Guest guest
I make liquid homemade LDN for my girlfriend using a small amber- colored hard plastic bottle. Seems safe. Guest guest
I store my homemade LDN in glass; this is because plastics can contain BPAs which have been issued a warning by Health Canada. Also, of interest is when having almagrams replaced with composites, ask you dentist if the filling, or any of the materials used contain BPA. No point in having one toxin removed, only to add another. > > > > > > HAS ANYONE EVER MADE THEIR OWN LDN, OR RECEIVED THEIR SUPPLY WITHOUT > > A PRESCRIPTION > > > > > Yes Shayla, many of us have mixed our own LDN. > > You simply put a 50 mg tablet in a small brown glass jar with 50 ml > > distilled water, shake it, let it stand for awhile, and shake it some > > more. Guest guest
Abby, One small correction and suggestion. The solution you make is stable for 14 days. This has been researched many times. Your healthcare is worth more than Mexican Naltrexone. If you choose to use the tablets discard any solution left after 14 days and purchase the naltrexone locally. I have never heard of a Mexican recall on any product that is sold over the counter and brought back into the United States. Just my 2 cents, Holman R.Ph.
