Guest guest Posted May 18, 2006 Report Share Posted May 18, 2006 I found something that might help to understand the difference between using ACEs and replacement hormones (like cortisol, which would be very tricky to replace in a kid). This is from 'Adrenal Fatigue' by (p 211): " Their (ie adrenal cortex extracts) action is to support fortify and restore normal adrenal function, thereby enhancing adrenal activity and speeding recovery. Adrenal cell extracts are not replacement hormones.... but contain only tiny amounts of the actual hormones in the adrenal gland.
