Guest guest
Hi everybody, I have been chelating my 8 year old son since last December. I started with TD dmps for 2 month and then switched to dmsa only(25mg) for two month. In early April I added 25 mg of ala to 25 mg of dmsa. The first week went ok , but on the second week he had vomiting on the second day of chelation. I immediately stopped that round. Since I was not sure the cause was virus or chelation I wanted to try ala again. I gave him a 10 day break and started another round with dmsa 25 mg only again and it went well last week. This week I added 12 mg ala and I felt that he was lethagic and throwing mild tantrum pretty often. Today I had a phone call from school that he literally fell apart and threw his body on the floor and showed some head-banging as well. He had never done that at school and that made everybody so worried. I had to pick him up from school and he was able to calm down at home and is now playing computer game. Do you think I have to stop this round again? By the way he weighs 85 lbs and I am giving him dmsa/ala evey 3 hours even at night. One thing I want to add is he has abnormal EEG even though I don't see any seizure activities going on. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks! Guest guest
He doesn't have any mercury alalgams and his last vaccine was in 2003. Like I said in previous message I had to pick him up early from school, but I continue to give him 25 mg dmsa and reduce ala to 6 mg of ala twice in three hour gap. Something strange happened about 30 minutes after I gave him that. He started head banging and screaming and scratching floor. It lasted about 5-10 minutes and he was just fine after that. To me it looked like some kind of seizure activity going on. It is something I have never seen him doing before. I will stop this round now without question. Any idea what is going on here? Guest guest
He could be allergic to Sulfa. I am, and I have similar symtoms when I take a sulfa based antibiotic, or something with alot of sulfur in it. Fever Hives vometing stomach cramps you name it. I think ALA is sulfa based. Just a possibility. > > > > Hi everybody,<BR> > > I have been chelating my 8 year old son since last December. Guest guest
Best to open the capsule and split into piles, or if your child is taking 12.5 mg just eyball 1/2 a cap. We use an oral syringe at night, with the chelator mixed in juice. Everyone has a hard time at first. The child gets used to it after a bit and barely wakes up. Put in drink once a day and feed a part each time? Does anyone have hard time feeding young kids in the night like us? Ricky
Guest guest
We dose with equal amounts of both. I think you are doing well. Is your child tolerating this dose OK? TJ ________________________________ From: Ricky Yu <rickyyu8888@...> Sent: Tue, October 5, 2010 4:32:22 AM Subject: [ ] DMSA/ALA  We are chelating our child following the AC protocol. She weighes 30 lbs. The doses of DMSA/ALA we are giving are 8.3 mg/8.3 mg. Is this too high? I know 1/8-1/2 of body weight (mg/kg) is recommended for each, but how about the two together?
