The gluten and casien issues are not regular allergies. I would wonder if the

nitrates/nitrites in the salami may have caused his problems...

S S

,

I have been considering doing the GFCF diet again... my son was on this diet

for a year but I haven't seen any marked behavioral or other improvements with

it. I know he is still sensitive a little to dairy based on test results, but I

really did not see any maladaptive behaviors or slower learning rates with

having Gluten and Casein back in his diet. But I was thinkingabout doing the

diet again because this no sleeping thing is just very hard, the poor little guy

is waking for a reason! So thank you for suggesting this issue. I think I would

want to do the diet a bit gradually only to ensure that he is familiar and

accepting of the new food items sufficiently. I think taking cheese away would

be an easy thing to do as a first step, then I could do the rest. Good thing is

that I am familiar with the diet, even though I may have never done it

perfectly, maybe that is why he wasn't showing much of a change with it. But

since we went through the NAET allergy treatment, I

was

advised that he should be able to tolerate all foods and supplements now. But I

also know, I think you have told me actually in the past that allergies can

flare up/renew again....

I will buy dye free Benadryl, I was using the one with red dye. Would that be

ok to give him say twice a day and see what happens? Or do people like to do

another antihistamine on a long term, regular basis, rather than the benadryl?

I am using Culturelle and Udo's choice multistrain probiotics. I will ahve to

check the bottle on Udo's but I thought it was free of casein...i am not sure, I

will check tonite when I get home. I do know that trace amount of casein can be

found in Culturelle - could that be very significant you think??

Actually, regarding new foods, Evan has been eating exceptionally well over

our vacation. I though it was perhaps because I was successful in addressing his

gut/yeast issues through the probiotics and yeast treatment....and I added no

fenol (only a quarter of a pill with the GSE) at the time. Evan just became so

adventurous with new foods! Ha ate salami, eggs, boiled eggs, yolk and white,

olives, pizza, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, and even an apple over the past 2

weeks. He even tried drinking almond milk, which is so rare, cause he only

drinks water.

So maybe he was more daring with new foods cause he was feeling better in his

gut, but then they made him perhaps allergic in other ways, like no sleep and

stuffiness and diarrhea and rash? Is this what you are thinking?

I got to check on the fillers in the CoQ10... will get back with you. I really

appreciate your prompt response! Thanks!
