Guest guest
Hi , There are some sleep aids suggested for LDNers at http://tinyurl.com/yosnk5 You will find there the recommended dosage for people with MS. Best regards, Dudley Delany dudley_delany [low dose naltrexone] Re: Advice on getting some sleep Hello Group: Last night I increased my dose of LDN from 1.5mg to 3.0 mg and had no sleep, today I am just exhausted. I have also noticed an increase in symptoms as well ie: numbness in torso and stiffness in legs is somewhat worse today. Is this possible after a one increased dosage? I know I have to stick with it and eventually it will get better, in the interim is there something I should be doing to help me get to sleep easier? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Hi , I do not have MS, however I do have other issues that I have ordered LDN for. When I have trouble sleeping I often use Melatonin. It normally will help. My husband takes this too. It works! Take 2- 3 mg tablets before going to bed. Can take up to 3 a night. Guest guest
Hi and all, I also went from 1.5 to 3.0 last week and for the first 5days my legs were terribly stiff! it's slowly getting better so I guess it's important to stick it out. My main problem are my knees, I've always had a problem with them being super sensitive to cold, heat, pain and weakness, and now that's where I'm still the most uncomfortable. Has anybody else had this problem with their knees? Ohterwise, having started on LDN on Nov 2nd, I do feel much better! less fatigue, more strength. hopefully I get some balance and not have to use both crutches...it probably helped also since I went off Betaferon 1b, gabapentina, amitryptilina and ibuprofen all at the same time (also immitrex for migraines because I've had only a couple minor headaches since then). hope this is just the beginning...! best wishes to everyone in this group- Miki (MS) [low dose naltrexone] Re: Advice on getting some sleep Hello Group:Last night I increased my dose of LDN from 1.5mg to3.0 mg and had no sleep, today I am just exhausted. Guest guest
Hello Dr. Skip; I have MS, I am following your protocol for using the drug. I started with the 1.5mg for 1 month and now I am taking the 3.0 for the 2nd month, only to progress to the 4.5 mg and remain at that dosage. The filler that I was told that is in there is Avicil I think that is how it is spelled and what it is called. I took the 3.0 mg in two capsules 2 x 1.5mg, does that make a difference in it's effectiveness? I also took the dosage at 11;30pm. Please advise, and thank-you. --- slenzrph@... wrote: > A couple of questions: > 1. when did you take the ldn > 2. what filler is it. > 3. whats your dx. > > dr.skip > > > > **************************************See AOL's top > rated recipes > (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004) > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. It can be unbearable! It is very painful. Add arthritis from prior Lyme to the mix and I have nasty knees. I'm a human barometer.I wear heavy hiking/mountain-climbing socks and then cover my knees, lower legs and feet with a polartec blanket when sitting or lying down. My circulation is normal. It's a neurological problem and is similar to "mountain sickness" which climbers get when core body temp drops like mine has. Nerve damage to my temperature regulation system as well as neuropathic pain (which kept me awake since 4AM) are 2 big wishes for improvement for me.I haven't found a magic bullet yet whether with meds or supplements. My neurologist (a good one) is stumped. Neurontin hasn't helped with pain. Prior to LDN, Tramadol took some of the edge off. 6 weeks on LDN is too soon for me to know where I'm headed with this.A good holiday present for both of us would be some relief from this.I wish you well!Gail
