Guest guest
Have you tried Tenex--my son takes it for attention, and my nephew--who is highly hyper, takes this as well, and Clonidine at bedtime. Just have to be careful monitoring blood pressure (you go on and off of it very gradually).
Guest guest
Hi group, I posted some time ago about a Chinese medicine doctor outside of Chicago. I guess no one has been to her. However my question is basically has anyone ever tried accupuncture/accupressure for hyperactivity? I am at my wit's end-my son's hyperactivity is interfering with his ability to sit, pay attention and do the things that he can easily do because he is bouncing off the walls. When he is sick or just feeling a bit down and therefore is calm, you can not believe how focused he is and how much he knows. Any ideas? Thanks Alice
Guest guest
Just saw this....my husband is seeing someone in Gurnee for acupuncture & Chinese meds. I have a friend who has seen her too for perimenopause symptoms. Is the person you're referring to in Libertyville/Gurnee? in Illinois > > Hi group, > I posted some time ago about a Chinese medicine doctor outside of > Chicago. I guess no one has been to her. Guest guest
Are you treating him for metals? My son's hyperactivity has calmed down immensely with chelation and supplements. > > Hi group, > I posted some time ago about a Chinese medicine doctor outside of > Chicago. Guest guest
What's his diet like? If he has allergies, even not obvious ones, NAET (which uses acupuncture/acupressure) could be helpful. Guest guest
Jan, I have read other posts like this. Usually it turns out to be Virus related. I am sure that others (as well as me) will also recommend that you get yeast under control as a possibility. Another thing that helps with hyperactivity is increasing the Magnesium intake, either as supps or Epsom Salt Baths. Good Luck ! Guest guest
Hi, I have many friends who tried acupuncture and said no result and the child has to suffer the pain. I have never tried that just comments from my friends. So far, I have heard of therapy that helps is the neurofeedback that seems to calm hyperactivitve kid. Guest guest
here was a huge study done in Germany last year relating accunpuncture to pain relief. Excellent results. Your contacts must have been in the 5% category :-(( Re: [ ] hyperactivity and accupuncture/accupressure Hi, I have many friends who tried acupuncture and said no result and the child has to suffer the pain.
