Guest guest
Is this what you use for chelation? I just want to make sure this is the right antioxidant that can be given with oral DMSA for chelation purposes. Thanks, sbarron6fun <rsbarron@...> wrote: We use Kirkman's hypoallergenic ALA. It doesn't have anything extra in it. It comes in 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg. I haven't seen any that comes lower than 25 mg but there may be some out there. To make a smaller dose, like 5 mg or 10mg you can dump the entire capsule contents into a measured amount of juice and divide the doses up equally like that. Or to give 12.5 mg it is pretty easy to split a 25 mg cap and pour half of it into another empty capsule. Sheresa > > Hi all, > > Wondering what brands of ALA people like. Guest guest
ALA is also a chelator, and needs to be treated accordingly, i.e. dosed every three hours, 1/8 to 1/2 mg per pound for several days on and an equal or greater number of days on. Guest guest
Hi, I saw your thread and was just wondering. Are you using ALA, or DHLA Dihydrolipoic acid. Normal LA cannot chealte HG (Mercury). It is only effective on other heavy metals, or are you using it for its antioxident properties only? Just curious, Im just doing some research. Guest guest
I could be wrong, just what I found when researching the 2. I read it in a study on LA and DHLA. I think the author was a guy named Ben Best. Most of the research came from the Journal of Biological Chemistry, and some National Academy of Scientists findings. http://www.benbest.com/nutrceut/lipoic.html > > > > Hi, > > I saw your thread and was just wondering. Guest guest
Isn't this saying that ALA converts to DHLA once ingested? God, I wish I paid more attention in Chem Lab. Guest guest
That is how I read it. Anne > > > > > > > > Hi, > > > > I saw your thread and was just wondering. Guest guest
Yes this is what I am using for chelation on my children. Every 3 hours, 3days on/4days off. I am seeing very good results so far after 6 rounds now. Sheresa > > > > Hi all, > > > > Wondering what brands of ALA people like. I need something without > > anything extra in it.
