Guest guest
HI There, I use TD chelators (DMSA & ALA) and have read from autism that about 80% is absorbed...sorry I don't have an exact reference. But I can tell you that when some of it touches my skin when I apply it on my son, I feel a slight tingle in my gut and can taste it in my mouth. Guest guest
It all depends on the molecular weight of what you are trying to get into the blood stream via the transdermal carrier. The lower the molecular weight the better the absorption. TD does work great for certain applications like estrogen and testosterone patches. I have no idea what the molecular weight common chelators but that would be an interesting find. http://molinterv.aspetjournals.org/cgi/content/full/4/6/308 > > > > Is there any data on how well TD chelators penetrate into the body or > > any comparative studies of TD versus other modes of dosing of > > chelators? > > > > > No!!!!! Guest guest
ALA has a weight of 206 which is considered low and should work as a TD. Anything less than 500 Da (Daltons) is considered low. http://www.ecplaza.net/tradeleads/seller/3883564/alpha_lipoic_acid.ht ml > > > > > > Is there any data on how well TD chelators penetrate into the > body or > > > any comparative studies of TD versus other modes of dosing of > > > chelators? > > > > > > > > > No!!!!! Guest guest
I have been chelating my son with TD DMPS and TD ALA and it works, at least the formulations that I use work very well. My son has improved significantly and we see the improvements during the rounds. I don't know how the TD chelators compare to the oral chelators. If you have a sensory defensive child like we do, TD chelators are a marvelous thing. Guest guest
I use TD as well (DMSA and ALA) and I can tell you that the TD B-12 ABSOLUTELY got in my sons body as it makes him CRAZY...no tolerance at all. I guess that is my proof that TD does get into his sytem. > > > > > > Is there any data on how well TD chelators penetrate into the body or > > > any comparative studies of TD versus other modes of dosing of > > > chelators? > > > > > > > > > No!!!!! Guest guest
It has to do with the molceular weight if the substance you are trying to get in the blood stream. Anything less than 500 Da will work, ALA is 206. DMSA is 182. The taste in the mouth is DMSO. > > > > > > Is there any data on how well TD chelators penetrate into the body or > > > any comparative studies of TD versus other modes of dosing of > > > chelators? > > > > > > > > > No!!!!! Guest guest
-After wasting a year chelating transdermally we are now using dmsa ala every 3 hrs 3 days & nights on 4 days off and we are finally seeing big gains. Lab tests backed up that td chelators were not pulling much at all. I can only speak from our experience but even with gut issues the oral route is more effective for my son & his lab tests back this up too.
