Guest guest
my son used to get frequent bloody noses and his allergist said it was from dust allergy so we got rid of feather pillows and covered his bed with barrier cloth and cut the dust down in ooour home and sure enough he hardly ever gets them anymore. Not saying that is true for your son or anyone else just our experience. Hope hie is better soon. Guest guest
Thanks Jen so much for sharing and for your support. So far, my son's nose bleed while he is sleeping and the bleeding wakes him up. He is on the same bed and pillows since he is born but I'll still try to cover his bed and see what will happen. thanks again, eva Jen West <jenn97420@...> wrote: my son used to get frequent bloody noses and his allergist said it was from dust allergy so we got rid of feather pillows and covered his bed with barrier cloth and cut the dust down in ooour home and sure enough he hardly ever gets them anymore. My #1 had nose bleeds with zinc, he was copper deficient and needed added copper to prevent that problem. You can try reducing zinc and/or adding copper, see if that helps. My #2 had a nose bleed when I gave him too much fish oil one day. Try reducing or eliminating Omega 3, see if that helps. Dana

Guest guest
Eva, Andy has mentioned that some children exposed to a new source of antimony will experience nose bleeds. Could your son be getting this exposure during the day somewhere? Are the nosebleeds always on a certain day of the week? Guest guest
> > Try giving him vitamin k supplement everyday. this cleared up my sons > problem..hope this helps. Thanks for posting this. I discovered that any dose of fish oil caused my son to get a nosebleed, but he still needed it because when it wore off, the visuals returned. So after you posted this, I did some research, and fish oil and vitamin E both thin the blood. And the previous fish oil had vitamin E [even tho not specifically indicated on the label, just a note at the bottom of the ingredient list], and my son was already fully loaded with vitamin E. Anyway, I had switched to a fish oil without vitamin E, but the problem persisted. Yesterday, I added some vitamin C and vitamin K to his fish oil dose, and no nose bleed!
