Guest guest
, This was my son in Januray! We ended up starting with just a probiotic mixed into juice. It is flavorless and has no smell. After a week or two on that some of his disposition improved so that we could add powdered multivitamin/mineral to his juice. I put flaxseed in homemade cookies that were all natural, so he was eating EFA's each day. We even added calcium and protien powder to those cookies. Find something that he will willing eat/drink. That is going to be your main vehicle until you can settle things down with him. He is likely bucking everything because of the nizoral making him sick. It may take some time for him to willing accept things again. My son was puker too if we tried to " give " him anything. Everything had to be bought in unflavored and hidden into his foods. I put flaxseed in his pancakes, and I put e oil and A oil in the syrup. Etc. Once we got the probiotics working and some of his yeast down he was less aggressive. As we have gotten him on supplements bit by bit, he has improved. We completed 9 rounds of chelation now and he is nothing like that. Before we could chelate though, I had to start a game with him using a baby medicine syringe. WE only used water in it or juice at that time, but we took turns squirting the liquid into baby and mommy. Letting him squirt himself. We did this for days until he was comfortable with the medicine squirter. Then we began putting juice in it and squirting juice. He was ok as long as he could squirt himself, just not us. That gave him comfort to have control over what went into his mouth. When it came time to actually do chelation he was good with the squirter and would take if for a bribe. Best advice is don't force him to take things, at this point. He will just get more upset about it and make matters worse. We even resorting to hiding supplements in mini peanut butter cups. Eventhough he isn't supposed to have them, the benefit of the supplement getting in outweighed the bad of the pb cup. Be patient above all! They take it as a personal assault when you try to force them. Also, has he been evaluated by your school district yet, or specialist? My son ended up having a sensory integration disorder which was why he was so violent about taking supplements and picky about foods. Oral sensory issues do this. It helped by giving him an electric toothbrush to chew on. It made him less sensitive. > > I don't know what to do with my 3 year old. Guest guest
My daughter is 4 now but was very similar at 2-3 years old. I could not get anything in her. I found only behavior strategies to work. Threatening never worked and usually made it worse. I told her calmly what I needed her to do and then asked her if she wanted to use a syringe or a measuring spoon. She sometimes likes to stir it. Sometimes she wanted to go back and forth between the supplement and water. I made a reward board and gave her a lot of praise until she no longer needed the reward. This took a lot of trial and error (and a lot of tears on both our parts) and education. My daughter feeds off of my emotions so I have to be very calm. cindy_wrn <cindy_wrn@...> wrote: I don't know what to do with my 3 year old. He has never been good about taking medicine, but my husband and I could usually figure out a way to get it into him. His doctor had him on Nizerol for yeast and it really hurt his stomach (took him off after a few days). Now, he won't take ANYTHING. He has been off of casein for about 6 weeks and gluten for only 1 week. It doesn't help that he won't eat anything but baked potato chips and corn (I'm sure that means I have to take him off of corn, too). Now, if we try to give him any of his supplements that taste okay, he flips out and becomes extremely aggressive. He hits, kicks and screams until he throws up. It would be easier if I could get anything in suppository form. He has always been really sensitive to tastes and textures. I could hide some of it in his food if he would actually eat. He is so strong willed it makes me crazy. What can I do? Thanks, --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less. Guest guest
I saw the answer to whether he's off the Nizoral just as I hit " send " . What if anything does he drink? The yeast will keep coming back if he only eats carbs. What did he eat before going gfcf? There are gfcf substitutes for the things most kids eat. S S
I don't know what to do with my 3 year old. Guest guest
When I put my son on a gluten and casien free diet , he was very picky and wouldn't eat anything. I think it's because they are craving the gluten and casien protiens . He's been on the diet for 3 years and even now if he accidently gets a cheese puff or anything he's not supposed to have, it takes me at least a week to get him eating normally again. He craves it once he has it. Then after a while it works out of his system and then he eats normal, healthy foods willingly again. Also, aren't the yeast meds supposed to make them sick when they start it? I think it's caused by the yeast dying off. ( anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not quite an expert yet). Guest guest
Hi , Seriously consider not getting any more flu vaccines...they contain thimerosal (a preservative containing 50% mercury, a known neurotoxin) and educate yourself on all other vaccines before allowing him to have any more. Guest guest
For those with gluten and casein issues the gluten causes an opioid effect, so when taken off gluten, it's like a heroin addict whose supply gets cut off. Guest guest
, He doesn't have any amalgam fillings and I didn't have Rhogam. I think they are going through withdrawl from gluten and I am quickly losing my mind. His little brother is so sick right now. On day 7 of his Diflucan treatment, he started running a fever. His doc started him on Valtrex the next day when his fever went up to 101. He only had one dose of Valtrex and he just keeps getting worse. His temp was up to 104 this afternoon and he is moaning constantly. I guess he has an unrelated virus on top of the yeast die off and gluten withdrawl. I can't stand watching him go through this. He is so miserable. His brother can't take the noise of the moaning and keeps yelling at him. I am so pissed off that our children are going through this while our piece of crap goverment does nothing. What do we have to do to get them to start protecting our children from the drug companies, big business polluters and I won't even say the words I would like to use for the insurance industry. But I forget, that's who runs our country. Do we all need to go to Washington and rally to get things changed? Sorry to vent. Thanks, >
He has been off the Nizoral since last week. His little brother is so sick right now. On day 7 of
his Diflucan treatment, he started running a fever. His doc started
him on Valtrex the next day when his fever went up to 101. He only
had one dose of Valtrex and he just keeps getting worse. His temp was
up to 104 this afternoon and he is moaning constantly. I guess he has
an unrelated virus on top of the yeast die off and gluten withdrawl.
I can't stand watching him go through this. He is so miserable. His
brother can't take the noise of the moaning and keeps yelling at him.
I am so pissed off that our children are going through this while our
piece of crap goverment does nothing. What do we have to do to get
them to start protecting our children from the drug companies, big
business polluters and I won't even say the words I would like to use
for the insurance industry. But I forget, that's who runs our
country. Do we all need to go to Washington and rally to get things
changed? Sorry to vent.
Thanks,

>
He has been off the Nizoral since last week. Guest guest
I think that Dana has mentioned that some yeast protocols can kick up viral or bacterial issues. S S
, He doesn't have any amalgam fillings and I didn't have Rhogam.
I think they are going through withdrawl from gluten and I am quickly
losing my mind.
