Dr. McCandless recommends that people on LDN avoid sugar, dairy, soy, and gluten

(found in wheat, rye, barley, and oats).

Hi Dudley, I've read the posts about sugar, dairy, soy and gluten. What harm does it do exactly? I'm slowly starting to eat wiser, but have never heard/understood why we should avoid these things. Just want to be educated. Thanks Kindly,JanetDudley Delany <DudleyDelany@...> wrote: Dr. McCandless recommends that people on LDN avoid sugar, dairy, soy, and gluten (found in wheat, rye, barley, and oats). Hi Janet,Dr. McCandless made those dietary recommendations on the basis of her work using LDN to treat autistic children. May I suggest you can contact her for the rationale involved. Her e-mail address isjmccandless@...Please do not contact her, however, until after Thanksgiving. These same suggestions are part of the Best Bet Diet (BBD) for MS, which is explained in detail athttp://tinyurl.com/yppqs9Hope that helps! All the best,Dudley

Not sure if one must be a member of Dr. Mccandless' Autism/LDN forum

to get into the Files section. There is loads of info there. Here's

a link to the Files page to see if you can access without being a

Janet: Soy is suppose to increase the nimber plaques or MS-like spots on the brain, accoring to information I have read. Sugar speeds up the central nerous system and dairy, grains and gluten are common food allergies. , Oh.....that makes sense, DUH !! I've never eaten differently throughout my whole "MS" life history. Never "noticed" anything adverse from these foods. But, I've been blessed with a rather calm type of MS. Only occasional episodes and hardly any plaques. I have read where other MS diets INCLUDE soy How does one know which is correct?? Oh, well, don't mean to clutter up the chat site with all this. Thanks .Janet Hawthorne <wendy.hawthorne@...> wrote: Janet: Soy is suppose to increase the nimber plaques or MS-like spots on the brain, accoring to information I have read.
