Guest guest
I would like to know if there's any way I can determine from looking at my boys' lab test results (specifically blood & urine). They do exhibit issues in their kreb cycles which seem disturb the normal production of various important acids, etc. Does anyone out there know what they're dealing with in this particular arena? I am currently giving them folinic acid and MB-12, whcih are named to be avoided in undermethylators (apparently 45% of ASD kids are, while 15% are overmethylators). Thanks, Meg
Guest guest
Meg, There are some lab tests that give an *idea* of whether a child is an under- or over-methylator. Kirkman has a chart in its catalogue that gives a bit of info. Go to: http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/catalog.html and find page 58. In the discussion of " DMG vs TMG, " there is some information. Also, these sites have info: http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/walshMP.htm#Mer http://www.enzymestuff.com/methylation.htm http://www.drkaslow.com/html/histadelia.html HIH, > > I would like to know if there's any way I can determine from looking > at my boys' lab test results (specifically blood & urine).
