Hi, Wrotek, we all need to have more force :)

Glutathione helps me somewhat, and blood vessels tonics, like ginkgo or

horse-chesnut, hamamelis... (which are also antioxidants)

Hi everyone,

I had a question: is it OK to take LDN with minocycline? I have rheumatoid arthritis(RA) and my rheumatologist prescribed minocycline 100mg twice daily- it is used as a disease- modifying drug for RA. I have been on minocycline since the end of August 2007 and on LDN since May 2007. I had increased joint pain and swelling about 3 weeks ago, Not sure if I am worse from taking both medications. I am on probiotics- Culturelle and enzymatic Therapy pearls. Also stopped the LDN 2 weeks ago to see how I feel. Any advice? Thanks everyone! See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.

Minocycline is an antibiotic and okay to use with LDN.

Can LDN be taken with other medications such as tranquilizers or

chemotherapy? How about interactions with alcohol or tobacco?

LDN can be taken along with any other medication or substance, so

long as it is not narcotic-containing. Naltrexone is a pure opioid

antagonist and it will block the action of narcotics. Some examples

of narcotic-containing drugs are Ultram, morphine, Percocet,

Duragesic patch and any codeine-containing medication.

My advice is to go back on LDN and rough it out.

Hey Dudley,

Taking LDN with steroids and other immune-system suppressing meds is

not suggested as one will not reap the full benefits of LDN. They

possibly work against each other, but it is not considered dangerous,

whereas taking LDN with narcotic-containing meds could prove

dangerous or at the very least uncomfortable because LDN may cancel

out the effects of the pain-killers. Not a good idea after major

surgery, for example.

LDN with anything except a narcotic, it is my understanding that

there are THREE classes of drugs that should not be taken with LDN:
