Guest guest
Darci, Our grandson was a poster child for lead and mercury intoxication at age 3. My daughter had no resources to do much testing - a hair test was high lead and counted out positive for mercury. Blood lead levels were high and mainstream was just monitoring them!! She had watched as her younger sister went down the tubes - before I discovered effective biomedical. She put a supplement program in place for her son and chelated. He's almost 7 now, in first grade and indistinguishable from peers. He was a quick responder and must have had the interventions implemented at a 'window in time' that was very beneficial for him. imo, you can waste much time 'waiting and watching' for the gut to heal. As I've chelated his aunt, I've gone through many periods of gut trouble-in and out. It's always on the fringes. Her testing is still disgustig re absorption. However, her symptom pattern has improved a lot! > > Hi there, > > I am at a loss with my 4 1/2 year old son. He was diagnosed > autistic almost 2 years ago. Guest guest
Wow that's wonderful about your grandson. What did she chelate with? Was he autistic? I would love to chelate him but I am worried about his zinc and magnesium being so low because I know chelation pulls even more. I already supplement him with both and he is still very deficient. Did your daughter know if he was deficient or did she just chelate anyways and he eventually started absorbing because the metals were coming out? I really believe that my son isn't absorbing because of the metals. I know he has leaky gut and I have been doing everything to clear it up (diet, probiotics, supplements, avoiding foods he is sensitive to etc.) and nothing is working. He has had great improvments just not health wise. Anyways thanks so much for your response. Take care, Darci > > > > Hi there, > > > > I am at a loss with my 4 1/2 year old son. Guest guest
Darci, I agree with . Sometimes you have to start chelating in order to start the process of healing the gut. Your DAN might think that it is necessary to heal the gut first because s/he uses a much more taxing protocol than is advocated here. If I were you I would supplement, use digestive enzymes, have a good yeast protocol, and start chelating gently according to Andy's dose/timing schedule. Guest guest
Anne, Would you chelate and do the antiviral protocol together? Although doesn't show typical ASD elevated metals, we think he might benefit from it anyways (Aspergers/PDD diagnosis). He was not vaccinated and this could be why or else metals just not showing up on the tests we have done. He is extremely sensitive to environmental toxins for sure. Also, if I don't make sense it could be b/c I just don't understand how all this works yet, but am so eager to learn! ; ) Any advice from you experienced parents is most appreciated. Thank you, Millie
Guest guest
-This is an interesting message because it raises issues about continuing or taking a break from chelation for us as my son's OAT has come back with really high yeast/fungal markers and he has all the behaviours to go with it. He is NEARLY NINE though so I know time is of the essence. All intensive gut management strategies have been used for years now and still these appalling yeasty behaviours. To chelate or not to chelate- that is the question! What should we do? Guest guest
Sue, Is your son on any Rx antifungals? We absolutely need those here at this stage, with naturals to supplement. At first I didn't want to go this route, but it became inevitable and our liver labs have never looked better. Anne > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > > > I am at a loss with my 4 1/2 year old son. Guest guest
Thanks for the reponses. Do most of you chelate on your own without the help of a DAN? Have any of you started chelating when your child is deficent in minerals? I am getting the sense that the answer is yes. I know I have to move forward with my son and chelation and I am going to check out the files on how to do this in the most safe way possible, I see no other choice for us. Do any of you use clay baths? This board sounds like there are a ton of very knowledgeable people and I have some catching up to do. Do most of you believe that it is the metals that could be blocking the absorption of minerals, vit. etc.? Thanks so much again. Guest guest
Andy, Thank you so much for your response. I am really encouraged to start ALA chelation with my son. From past experiences with children who are deficient in minerals, is there anything I should be extra careful with or watch for? I also just received my porphyrins test back and my son was the following: coproporphyrin 719 ref 50-90 precoproporphyrin 80 ref 2-5 uroporphyrin 29 ref 7-14 I do not totally understand this all, but know that it isn't good and we really need to get the metals out. He has recently started having petite seizures in swarms and my feeling is that he is just very toxic. I will be looking over your protocol and starting very soon. Thanks for your help and for letting me know that others do chelate when minerals are low. Thanks so much. Guest guest
Darci, Sorry, I'm behind on reading/reponding! She used low dose dmsa, probably 20 rounds over a year's time. This little guy had no formal label except delayed speech and lead toxic. However, he was about the same level for his age as his aunt was at age 2-3 years. Her 'label' when we got it autism/severe mr and later, ppd-nos. imo, those are just labels and immaterial when you have a symptom pattern like they both did that seemed so highly related to vaccine injury/heavy metal toxicity and you CAN do something about it!!! Except for blood lead levels, which the health department insisted be monitored, he didn't have any levels of anything monitored during chelation. She just used good supplements and chelated. No measuring of what was coming out either-except the measurement of huge improvement! I have had better luck with our daughter using topical things for some supps. She reacts to many things orally. Her reactions are seizures! so a few gut bugs, which she always seems to have, look pretty benign by comparison. I've used some prepared items and brewed my own for others. > > > > > > Hi there, > > > > > > I am at a loss with my 4 1/2 year old son. He was diagnosed > > > autistic almost 2 years ago.
