2nd round of DMSA - side effects?

Hi

My son has just finished his second round of TD DMSA and we have

noticed some strange changes in him. In particular;

His bowel movements are explosive and very smelly. They are dark and

seem to have white lumps in them - IS THIS NORMAL? His stools are

normally light coloured.

He also has lost his appetite (normally a restricted but

enthusiastic eater) and isn't drinking much. Again - is this

something we should expect?

Can I also ask if metals are excreted via stool and urine? I'm

assuming this is how DMSA will work, but am not sure.

The only other things we have noticed is he is very tired and has a

rash on his bottom and anus. After round one, he burped a lot, which

he never usually does.

On the upside, his language and eye contact seem to have really

improved.

Any help welcome - we're very confused!
