Guest guest
Hello, A good friend of mine just started using a naturopath who wants to put her children on chlorella for gut issues. I thought I read awhile back on THIS LIST that chlorella is not good. Is this so? Janice
Guest guest
That depends on why it is being used? In terms of mercury chelation..it is questionable. Some say it binds mercury in the gut to be passed out instead of absorbed. It can be useful in absorbing yeast die off and other bad things in the gut. However, if you are mercury toxic you want to be careful using it. Do not use it at all if you have metal fillings. At least that is what many are telling me. And also, if you do use it, make sure you purchase a good quality brand from a company that can varify whther or not it has any mercury in it. As chlorella is an algae product grown in the sea, so it depends where it comes from. I have used it sparingly with a non ASD kid to absorb mercury following dental filling removals with no side effects. So again, depends on what the doctor is recommending it for. What type of gut issues exactly are they planning to use it for? > > Hello, > > A good friend of mine just started using a naturopath who wants to put > her children on chlorella for gut issues. Guest guest
Hi Janice, I had a chiropractor who put our daughter on it....and we noticed nothing at all from it. Matter of fact we quit using it after the first bottle. I am not sure really what we should have been looking for, but absolutely nothing happened.
