Guest guest
, Hi! Welcome to the group. Was this a DDI hair elements test? We need all the results in order to apply the counting rules. Mercury generally doesn't show as high in mercury toxic people, instead it causes disordered mineral transport. We need all results as well as color and for the essentials whether they're over or under 50%. Please read the FAQs of this list. Consider identifying and reducing/removing sources of exposure to the toxins you mention. www.danasview.net/metals has a useful list of sources of exposure. S S
Hello!

I'm new to the group. My 4 year old dd has autism and we just
received the results of her hair sample testing from her DAN doctor
and would love for some help interpreting the results!

No mercury or lead was present.

Her iron levels are fine.

She's low in zinc, sodium, magnesium and calcium.

The six toxins present are as follows --

Antimony - normal is 0.016 - hers is 0.275
Arsenic - normal is 0.080 - hers is 0.155
Cadmium - normal is 0.022 - hers is 0.090
Gadolinium - normal is 0.0005 - hers is 0.0082
Tin - normal is 0.149 - hers is 1.105
Uranium - normal is 0.0057 - hers is 0.0186

We're supposed to start chelation with PCA Rx in 3 weeks.

Do you know if it will pull all of these toxins? And how long will
it take before we see results? How long will it take to chelate all
of these out of her? And will chelation be successful -- in other
words, are some of the effects of the exposure to these toxins
irreversible?

Thanks in advance!

_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! My 4 year old dd has autism and we just > received the results of her hair sample testing from her DAN doctor > and would love for some help interpreting the results! > > No mercury or lead was present. If you want the hair test interpreted, please post as described here (you can use the template at the bottom of this page): http://home.earthlink.net/~moriam/HOW_TO_hair_test.html A hair test shows what metals are being excreted in the hair. Mercury and lead can be present at toxic levels in the body, but not excreted in the hair. A properly interpreted hair test can reveal mercury, but we need to see the entire test as explained in the link above. > Her iron levels are fine. Iron on the hair test does not reflect body levels of iron. > She's low in zinc, sodium, magnesium and calcium. Generally, these don't reflect body levels, either. > The six toxins present are as follows -- > > Antimony - normal is 0.016 - hers is 0.275 > Arsenic - normal is 0.080 - hers is 0.155 > Cadmium - normal is 0.022 - hers is 0.090 > Gadolinium - normal is 0.0005 - hers is 0.0082 > Tin - normal is 0.149 - hers is 1.105 > Uranium - normal is 0.0057 - hers is 0.0186 Antimony, arsenic, and tin are often elevated in mercury toxicity. > We're supposed to start chelation with PCA Rx in 3 weeks. I would not recommend this. PCA-Rx has unpredictable results and they don't tell you how much ALA is in it. Might as well use regular ALA - lots cheaper and you know what dose you are giving. -- > Do you know if it will pull all of these toxins? And how long will > it take before we see results? Guest guest
With 4 essentials in the red she meets the counting rules which means disordered mineral transport which mean high likelihood of mercury toxicity. Please try to identify and reduce/remove sources of exposure to toxics, they should be in the green not all in yellow and red. Check www.danasview.net/metals for sources of exposure. Guest guest
Even if she was nevere vaccinated, but you had/have any mercury amalgam dental fillings (I assume she has none) she would have ended up with some of that load because mercury passes the placenta. I think Andy also came up with counting rules for Genova hair tests back when Genova was called Great Plains(?) or Great Plains(?). See if you can do a search of this list for Great Plains (?) or Great Smokies(?) Counting rules or post another message asking others where to find them. Guest guest
, Since this is a Genova (GSDL) test, I would need more information to interpret (it's a bit different from a DDI test). The main thing is the ranges are different - a result is not considered red unless it goes all the way to the end of the result plot. Using DDI test rules, this test would meet the counting rules, but it may not using the the modified rules for GSDL. So I need to know if any of the red range results are all the way to the end of the red zone (touching the end). Looks like at least potassium and lithium are touching the left side since they are not detectable. Please tell me if any other essentials, or any of the toxics are all the way to the edge of the plot. Also for the under/over designation, you should consider 50% to be a line straight down the middle of the result plots. -- > > > > > > > > Hello! > > > > > > > > I'm new to the group. Guest guest
Okay...I think I've got it now! Also...will chelation remove all of these toxins and reverse any damage done? Guest guest
, Remind her about the uranium on this test....so she is not freaked out too! > > > > > > > > > > Hello! > > > > > > > > > > I'm new to the group. Guest guest
> Also...will chelation remove all of these toxins and reverse any > damage done? Or is some irreversible? Based on my experience with my son, chelation removes the metals. The damage that has been done, required supplements to reverse/correct. So far, none of it [that I can tell] has been irreversible. > Selenium - 0.64 - green - under Adding this was very beneficial for my son.
