Guest guest
I never understand how anyone could tell that homeopathy worked when they are using supplements as this mother did. Not that I put much store in homeopathy, but a true homeopath does not use supplements, doesn't believe in them, believes in the waters of homeopathy. [ ] Homeopathy recovery Hi all I haven't used very much homeopathy (and none on my boy) but thought some people might be interested in this site, done by the mother of a recovered boy. In their case, it appears that homeopathy and diet were key. The boy has now recovered to the point of not needing any dietary restrictions. I don't understand it, but it is an amazing story. http://www.recoveredfromautism.com/# René =======================================================
Guest guest
Hi > I never understand how anyone could tell that homeopathy worked when they are using supplements as this mother did. I suppose it would be very much the same as when we get a new, immediate response to a new treatment/supplement, just a sense that this was the trigger for new things. > > Not that I put much store in homeopathy, but a true homeopath does not use supplements, doesn't believe in them, believes in the waters of homeopathy. > Well, there are a lot of kinds of homeopathy just as there are lots of approaches to chelation. One thing that I found very surprising is that the mom talks a " healing crisis " brought on by homeopathy that put the child in hospital and nearly killed him!! What's that about?? Everything I had read about homeopathy previously gave me the impression that there are usually no adverse effects whatsoever, that it's extremely safe. (Makes AC chelation look even better to me than it already did). IMO it does give homeopathy some credibility, however, since it's hard to see how something can have a therapeutic use without some risk. So many things I don't understand... take care René
Guest guest
, Homeopathy sounded like hocus pocus to me at first. In homeopathy there is something called provings. With the right remedy and wrong dose the remedy will actually initiate the symptoms. I have used homeopathy and I have had provings happen to me enough to know that it is real. Homeopathy has helped me, but it hasn't cured me. The mercury has been in me too long for me to expect a quick fix. My homeopath said that he cannot predict how long it would take for homeopathy to cure me. He didn't deter me from going for certain mainstream interventions or from chelating. The homeopath we have here is a genius. He has to be, matching the symptoms and remedies takes a computer like brain (to remember everything). I have heard many, many incredible stories of him healing people with homeopathy. The acute problems seem to reverse much more quickly than the chronic problems. It wouldn't be easy to test homeopathy scientifically because the remedies have to be matched to the individual. Just my experience J > > Rene, thanks for your post. I still fail to see how you could seperate out the effects of homeopathy and supplements. > > It's a little different than doing chelation and ABA, to me. > > I admit I have a really hard time wrapping my brain around homeopathy. I watched a two-hour long documentary about a year ago, where a man offered a million dollars if anyone could prove scientifically that homeopathy was an effective treatment. The name of the documentary was " Does Water Have Memory? " > > They attempted a series of scientific experiments, brought in all the top homeopaths to supervise the dilution of the homeopathic treatments and made them sign off on the dilution process each step of the way. But they could never prove that anything homeopathic was responsible for any improvement and the man who offered the million still has his money. > > Having said that, I usually say that because I don't believe in something, does not mean it does not exist. > > Like you, many things I don't understand, still learning. > > > [ ] Re: Homeopathy recovery > > > Hi > > I never understand how anyone could tell that homeopathy worked when > they are using supplements as this mother did. > > I suppose it would be very much the same as when we get a new, > immediate response to a new treatment/supplement, just a sense that > this was the trigger for new things. > > > > > Not that I put much store in homeopathy, but a true homeopath does > not use supplements, doesn't believe in them, believes in the waters > of homeopathy. > > > > Well, there are a lot of kinds of homeopathy just as there are lots of > approaches to chelation. Guest guest
I know this is an old post but someone asked me for a reply so here it is. I could seperate out the effects of homeopathy from the supplements because of the timing. If you go to the site and review the treatment plan (which was a continuous documentation of our treatments), you can see the progression. The supplements we did were few...DMG for speech (which helped for receptive but didn't make him verbal), supranuthera for a vitamin, Culturelle for a probiotic, occasional CLO, and very importantly NoFenol enzyme. You can see the progression and when these supplements were introduced and what the results were. You can also follow the story and see the dramatic results of the homeopathy and the timing of those results. And you can see that we did not start any new treatments surrounding any one thing we did and in particular the homeopathy. Homeopathy is not an end all, be all. It's a method of treatment, jut like anything else. Saying most homeopaths don't believe in other supplements is simply not true, especially if they in some way support the vital force, as long as they don't interfere with the remedy. And to be perfectly honest, I didn't give a rat's butt if my homeopath didn't believe in using a probiotic or NAET, or anything else. When a practitioner tells me what they do is the only way, I run to the door. And yes, just because " I say " my son recovered fully from homeopathy, the diet, NAET, and probiotics does not mean anyone else or everyone else will recover. It just means some things work for some kids and there are ideas to try. Regarding chelation - I always said I " kept chelation in my back pocket " if homeopathy didn't work. You can search the archives of this very board and see my messages to Andy and my son's mercury results and days where I was freaking out and my " intuition " that we shouldn't chelate. Regarding the healing crisis, it was one of, if not the scariest experience I've had as a parent. My son was unconscious for 3 days with a raging fever and raging all over body hives and yeast. We made many trips to the ER. I had messages all over the boards for advice because the ER doctors were so (swearword) clueless. In the end, it made me stronger and it made him better. From what I understand, this is not a typical response but it does happen. With *any* modality. For him, I believe he is so sensitive he responded very dramatically to the remedies and his body healed rapidly and therefore had to get rid of major toxins quickly and his body needed to shut down to do this. His vital force (energy) was repairing itself. It's taken me a long time to get to the point where I understand his body was not getting worse, it was getting better. His body was working its way back to health. And I'm OK with it now. Back then I was a basket case. I now know not to suppress symptoms, but let the body do its job in healing. And yes, it takes a great deal of faith. Regarding timing, just so people know it wasn't overnight, and it may be a blip in the bucket for some of these kids and for some of these parents but it was 3.5 years for my son's recovery. And I always said I would not consider him fully recovered until he was off the diet and there were no residual issues. He has been off the diet now for just over a year. He has no health, learning, or any other issues. And trust me when I say I know how lucky I am. As for the guy who offered the million bucks, there have been several homeopaths who have tried to take him up on his offer and not surprisingly, it hasn't happened. I have an almost 9 year old daughter with ADD. We have yet to find a good remedy match for her after almost 4 years of trying. But we've made small gains and we keep trying. It doesn't mean homeopathy doesn't work - it just means we haven't found the right remedy for her. Or maybe it means, it won't work for her. I would be naive to think what happened for my son is going to happen for everyone. I know it won't. The truth is, I do not try to convince anyone to try homeopathy. You don't have to believe it works. I know it works just great for my family in many, many ways - not just my son's autism. But that doesn't mean anything to anyone else - only me. You have to come to it on your own terms and volition. I only share our journey in the hope it helps others. Take from it what you like, leave it if you want. So anyway, I hope that is helpful to someone and if it's not helpful to someone my apologies. I only share in the hopes of helping others so there it is. Truly, a > > Rene, thanks for your post. I still fail to see how you could seperate out the effects of homeopathy and supplements.
