Guest guest
Thanks, Dana. I went ahead and tried the GSE in water last night, one drop. He was depressed recovering from the ALA and I really wanted to try to reduce the yeast. EI YI YI!!! Not good. It did clear his head, and calm him down, but then he just got weird. Epsom salts soaks are helping but he is exhausted and we can't seem to put a dent in that. I contacted Houston's about No-Fenol, which appears to contain corn. They say it is impossible to produce enzymes without it. That won't work for him. I guess we will just have to wait this reaction out, but need to find something for the yeast. > > > > Can anyone tell me how to give these? Guest guest
Hello , Believe it or not, this is a good sign ! Those are exactly the signs you want when looking to see if GSE will help with yeast. What you experienced after the initial improvement is what is referred to as " Die Off " .. There are a few things you can do to make this better in the future. 1. 30 to 45 minutes after the GSE you COULD have given activated charcoal to soak up the nasty stuff from the decaying yeast. (not necessary for regular use) 2. Each time you give the GSE you will have less yeast to " Die Off " , so the " backlash " should become less of a problem when you get the yeast under control. 3. Give ProBiotics 30 to 45 minutes after the GSE, this will help crowd out the " bad bugs " . Be careful not to give too much GSE, this can lead to diarrhea or upset stomach and open the door for bad bacteria strains to get a foot hold, so make sure that you are giving plenty of ProBiotics 30 to 45 minutes after giving the GSE. Now that we have yeast fairly under control (I hope I didn't just jinx myself) we usually give GSE just before bed as follows. 2 Candex on empty stomach - maybe throw in a No-Fenol Wait 30 minutes Small amount of Orange Juice with 1 or 2 drops of GSE Wait 30 - 45 minutes Double Dose of ProBiotics Bed Time Good Luck, Neil _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of llhayes57 Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2006 3:36 PM Subject: [ ] Re: administering GSE and oil of oregano Thanks, Dana. Guest guest
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions Neil. But how do I know this is not a phenol reaction rather than a yeast reaction? > > > > > > Can anyone tell me how to give these? Guest guest
How are about Dipan 9 (enzymes)? I don't think they have corn in it. My son is allergy to all Houston enzyme but ok with Dipan 9. Eva llhayes57 <llhayes@...> wrote: Thanks, Dana. I went ahead and tried the GSE in water last night, one drop. Guest guest
Okay, this sounds vile, but where do you get it, and how do you give it? Do people react to the charcoal - it is apparently made from a number of different things (coconut, trees etc) - do you have to find a kind that has a base you are not reactive to? His reactions to the GSE were really odd. He said he would try to focus and his eyes would go somewhere else (that is one we have never heard before), and he was very spacey - not being aware of what was going on around him, stuff like that. He is starting to come down today, but has been in and out of it rather suddenly. These are all pretty strange symptoms/behaviors for him. > > > > Thanks for your feedback and suggestions Neil. Guest guest
Hey - this looks good! The message I received from Houston actually said that all commercial enzymes are sprayed on malodextrin, unless you use pancreatic enzymes. Looks like that's what the Dipan 9 is. Can you tell me anything about how you dose it? > > > > > > Can anyone tell me how to give these? I haven't heard of any of these problems before. You can get it at any hfs, either bulk or in capsules. You want to give it about an hour after the GSE, but if the die-off symptoms are terrible and really uncomfortable I give it as early as a half hour after. It will soak up everything, including the toxins from die-off. You should see a big improvement in about 15 minutes. n calls it the Magic Pill and used to hold a clock waiting for the 15 minutes to go by. > > His reactions to the GSE were really odd. Not sure what to make of that. n's die-off reaction is mostly rage (but then that's his reaction to everything, including phenols when they were a problem). Has anyone else had that kind of reaction to GSE? Have you tried any other antifungals? Another one to try is Tanalbit, which are plant tannins. Guest guest
Shoot! My response is lost in cyberspace. I will try to reconstruct. Nell, I have not tried any other antifungals. It took a lot of nerve to work up to trying the GSE (In fact, it took a lot of nerve to work up to trying the ALA) I did it because Dana said her kids couldn't tolerate any supplements but could take the GSE. My guy is just super-reactive to everything. He reacted to the charcoal filter in an air filter we tried - hence the question about charcoal. I looked up Tanalbit, but unfortunately it contains casein, and possibly soy and we can't do those. I think I may give him a break from the ALA this weekend. This would be round 5, but he is still kind of all over the map, either due to the GSE/yeast/phenol, or, more likely, a food reaction. It seems like it might be good to let his system settle down, and then try the ALA again mid-week. I will try to muster my courage to try the GSE again then, and use the charcoal with it. I do have the oil of oregano, but don't know what to do with it. I love the " Magic Pill. " Ben is like that with ALA - he LOVES the way it makes him feel. Thanks for your advice. Oh! How much charcoal do you give, and how long is yeast die-off expected to last? Several days normal? > > > > Okay, this sounds vile, but where do you get it, and how do you give > > it? I was trying to do every weekend but ended up doing less than 26 rounds for the year. > I do have the oil of oregano, but don't know what to do with it. It's very strong, and very phenolic. For n it seemed to work better on bacteria than on yeast. How about caprylic acid? Nell
