For my son, that means viruses are still coming out, even if I don't see symptoms. Yesterday I learned that I can reduce my son's yeast control, so things are looking up here! Can you give vitamin C without causing diarrhea or other negative symptoms? For my son, I once thought I was done with OLE, because increasing it did not cause any changes, but after I removed it, my son got a cold and the virus went straight into his brain. After giving lots of vitamin C for several months, now my son is fully C loaded, and in fact if I give him supplemental vitamin C he will regress. He had a cold a few weeks ago, which did NOT go into his brain! Vitamin A is also probably important, but my son has been fully loaded with vitamin A for more than a year now, and I have not been able to supplement it without causing toxicity symptoms. Anyway, you might try reducing the doses down slowly and end with 2 VS and 2 OLE per day. Keep that for a while, see if you notice anything. Good luck. Dana, its always been very hard for me to know when ds has yeast. He doesn't get obvious yeast symptoms like my dd or other kids I read about. I am giving him probiotics and biotin 3Xday. As far as I can tell he isn't having a yeast problem. > Can you give vitamin C without causing diarrhea or other negative > symptoms? We did the high dose A at the begining of the VS protocol and he now takes 10,000IU 2Xday. Never saw any toxicity symptoms. > Anyway, you might try reducing the doses down slowly and end with 2 VS > and 2 OLE per day. Guest guest
, Can you share your protocol? Barb [ ] Virastop -almost done. >I think we might be almost done with VS. Guest guest
> , > > Can you share your protocol? > > Barb We started with 1VS and 1OLE a day. We also did the high dose vit. A protocol the first week and then gave 10000IU A 2Xday maintenence. We increased the VS and OLE very slowly working up to 2Xday and then 3Xday (VS only-left OLE 2Xday). Its taken us 10 weeks to work up to 11VS divided into 3 doses. About every 3-4 weeks I switch out the OLE for echinacea/goldenseal or Sambucol for a week. We started with giving the VS away from food but this caused stomach upset so we switched to giving it with meals and still saw results. We also added other supplements in as we went and some he was taking before. We gave Lysine for cold sores and bladder pain. Right now it looks like this: AM: Biotin, 2 Colostrum, Lactobacillus Sporogenes, Lethacin, 3 OLE, 4VS, vit A, 1000mg C. Afternoon: Biotin, Lactobacillus Reuteri, 3VS, 1000mg C. PM: Biotin, 2 Colostrum, Magnesium glycinate, Nortic naturals ultimate omega, 3 OLE, Lactobacillus Reuteri, 4 VS, vit A, 1000mg C. Guest guest
If we continue to see no signs of more virus coming out at this dose that'll make me think we are done. (we've always gotten symptoms when going up 1 VS) Hi What are your son's signs of " virus coming out " ? Thanks

Guest guest
He's had fever, ear ache, head ache, cough, sore throat, cold sores, bladder pain, he had some spots that may have been rashes or maybe just bug bites-not sure, diarrhea, muscle/tendon aches. > If we continue to see no signs of more virus coming out at > this dose that'll make me think we are done. Guest guest
, Really appreciate your post! My suggestion would be to increase the ViraStop to about 18 capsules per day for a couple days only. If you see more inprovement or reaction, it will indicate a plateau or threshold has been crossed. If you don't see further improvement, just consider it 'done' and be weaning off it a 2-3 capsules a day. I think that is reasonsable. Ideally, it is supposed to be a shorter term program to get over the problem...not just be another supplement to take for years and years. I am trying to follow the Valtrex group and see how their responses compair to the ViraStop. My hunch is that either will work, but doing both together may be best because of different modes of action. of course, someone may only have access to certain measures...so it is great there are more alternatives out there. I also suspect that ultimate we will find that some viruses respond better to certain treatments. Already it is known that measles responds to Vitamin A, and herpes responds to lysine...but other viruses aren't helped. A co-worker of my husband contacted him this past week saying she read my book and learned of the enzyme program for viruses. She has Lupus pretty bad, which is viral based. She started enzymes and it has 'saved her life' as she put it. My husband didn't really know her until now (it's a large building and people don't necessarily meet each other). So it worked for Lupus in her case. Please keep sharing! Let us know how the couple days of higher doses works out. . >>>> I think we might be almost done with VS.
