Guest guest
Hi All, We have decided to chelate our 2yr 10 mon old son.We have been doing bio-med for a good 6 months now and he is stable on all his vitamins, minerals and other supplements. Our new blood work is awesome compared to his baseline (where he was low in almost all minerals, amino acids, had huge exposure to toxic metals , leaky gut to name a few ) His gut health has improved tremendously. He has a lot of good bacteria, less imbalance and no bad bacteria. Mineral levels are nice and in the 50-60 percentile for most . Is it okay to begin chelation now ? My DAN doctor uses TD-DMPS (buttar protocol). I spoke to him about my desire for using Andy's protocol and he said that is fine and he knows Andy and has no issues with it. He wanted to make sure the mineral supplementation was adequate since my son was really bad when he started and we have struggled to get him where he is . Just to clarify my understanding on the protocol , TD-DMPS every 8 hours (3days on 4 days off). Start with low dose . Is this right ? What about Mineral supplementation on the on-days. What is the best time to give it on the on-days ? I saw one of Andy's mail in the archive saying minerals should never be stopped . Sorry if this has been discussed. I wanted to make sure i get the facts right before starting. Thanks in advance for all your help . Kavitha
Guest guest
Kavitha, Don't say sorry for trying to get your facts straight before you start. It is the smart thing to do. And great work so far with your son. It sounds like he's come a long way already :-) and you're more than ready to begin chelation. I don't use TD-DMPS but the idea of dosing every 8 hours is to have a steady level of chelator in the blood. So, given that, it won't matter when you give the minerals, as long as you divide up the doses throughout the day since the body can only absorb so much at at time (Andy's recommendations are in the supplement file at the end of the file if you've not seen them yet). I use oral chelators and try not to have the minerals in his stomach at the same time as the chelators, but that is a different situation. Best of luck with chelation. Keep us updated :-) Anita > > Hi All, > > We have decided to chelate our 2yr 10 mon old son.We have been doing > bio-med for a good 6 months now and he is stable on all his vitamins, > minerals and other supplements.
