Guest guest
Just wanted to say thanks for all the time you spend on the hair tests for our kids. And, you are really good at interpreting them. So appreciative. [ ] Re: 's DDI Test Results > > Just got my son's, , hair results back. He is 7 years old, > ASD. He is verbal, with no gut or sleeping problems. I want to start chelation ASAP, but I Recommendations from Andy's Hair Test book based on this hair test would include: magnesium and taurine for yellow low Mg; zinc, starting with wt in pounds plus 20 mg; iron to reduce uranium. Actually, he says the threshold for uranium is .5, but if is deficient you may want to try this. I took it for 6-8 weeks and my uranium dropped from red to green on the next hair test. Chromium and vanadium are a bit of a quandary. Andy says take chromium to reduce red high vanadium, but you think your exposure to hexavalent chromium may be an issue. If chromium were red high, Andy would say take vanadium to lower it, but obviously you don't want to do that. (I wonder if the body is retaining vanadium to deal with the chromium? But that is speculation on my part.) Andy says the trivalent chromium in supplements is not toxic, but I have no idea how supplementing it would affect things. This is a question for Andy. Hair cobalt is not related to B12. Markers for B-12 deficiency are high MCV and MCH on a CBC, and elevated methylmalonate in urine. -- > need to get his supplements started first.
