Guest guest
Hi all, I just started on LDN for my UC. I am also taking Asocol, 3 tabs 3 times a day. I've been on it for about 8 days now....started during a flareup. While it's not completely under control yet, it seems to be abating a bit, time will tell. I'd like to know if anyone here is on ldn for UC (UC only) and what your experience has been....this site seems to be more geared toward MS it seems, and the use of it for UC seems to be relatively new for this drug. Comments?? Wade

Guest guest
Hi Wade, I'm using LDN for Crohn's, I started app. 4 weeks ago, and I feel fine. The severe pain every day after dinner is gone, the diarrhea is gone, the obstructions and so is the severe pain and vomiting because of them, now I need fibers to have a daily bathroom trip. Otherwise I'm in trouble..;-) Have no other trouble exept an easy pain after eating vegetables or meat that is heavy digest because of a possible stricture (a narrowed small intestine). The pain is really minimal. I don't think LDN will help me getting rid of the small pain after dinner, because if it's a stricture, I will need an operation to get rid of it. I started using 3 mg each night, now I am on the optimal dose, 4.5 mg. Medication: none. And I know a person with U.C that have used LDN for half a year. He is also really well now, has no diarrhea, no pain, no blood. He has gained weight now, and is back to his normal weight. He got progressively better, and is now as he never had U.C. Medication: asacol Good luckIngrid [low dose naltrexone] LDN and UCHi all,I just started on LDN for my UC. I am also taking Asocol, 3 tabs 3 times a day. Guest guest
Hi Wade, Welcome to the group! You will love it here - it is a really positive, supportive, non-judgemental group. I have UC also. I am on 6MP and Remicade. My hope is to somehow get off 6MP and Remicade and go on LDN. Have you tried any of the supplements for IBD? (enteric-coated fish oil, glutamine powder, acidophilus, etc....) Have you tried the SC Diet? Please let us know how the LDN works for you. Thanks, Alana > > Hi all, > > I just started on LDN for my UC. I am also taking Asocol, 3 tabs 3 > times a day. I've been on it for about 8 days now....started during a > flareup. Guest guest
Hi Ingrid, multiple responses to follow - >>> When is your > last remicade, when do you start your LDN medication, I cannot start taking LDN yet. But, I am keeping hope that any day now, new information will come out on how to safely get off Remicade and onto LDN without risk of major relapse. >>> Do you use www.healingwell.com ?
