In my experience, GSE was not effective against bacteria, and in fact, if I

gave it when there was no yeast, it increased bacteria. It also did not

address viruses [or at least not very effectively] for my son.

Depends on how much yeast is there, how old is your child, and whether it

works for him. I have given much more than that to my son, when yeast was

very high.
