Guest guest
Is he GFCF? If so, is calcium well supplemented (1200mg/day)? [ ] Rolling Eyes into Head: Seizure or Tic We are on round two of chelation and since round one my son has started to roll his eyes into the back of his head. Its not yeast (yeast protocal is strong and negative test results are in). It seems to happen when a flash of bright light hits his eyes like while swinging under the tree or turning a corner in the car and light comes through the window. I haven't seen it happen inside. We are going to see a neurologist but I don't really think seizuere (but I don't really know anything about seizures.) All I can guess is he is become more sensitive to light, which he has always been sensitive to bright light, just never rolled his eyes into his head. What causes light sensitivty and why would it increase with chelation?
Guest guest
Yes, he GFCFSF and SCD, but he only gets 425mg calcium and 200mg mag. He is 24lbs and 2yo. Should I up the calcium? And Magnesium? sarah
Guest guest
What chelator, dose, and dosing schedule? How much does he weigh? Photophobia is a symptom of mercury poisoning. I presume he has NO mercury amalgam dental fillings? How long do his eye rolling episodes last? Does he seem to hear you during them? Guest guest
Light sensitivity is caused from heavy metal exposure. It maybe flaring up because you are moving metals with chelation. Post his chelation protocol. And supplements list. Its not yeast (yeast > protocal is strong and negative test results are in). Was he tested for yeast in his brain? [That is a rhetorical question, I am not aware of any test that will test for yeast in the brain.] The typical yeast tests apparently do not test for that [there is no yeast in the gut, so the tests come up negative, even tho there is yeast, just not in the gut]. When my son had yeast in his brain, one of the things he would do was roll his eyes. You might consider increasing the yeast protocol for a few days, see if it has any effect. Guest guest
For my daughter it's a viral thing that causes the seizure/tic. You may want to check viral panels (immuno science lab) and then possibly think of Valtrex and/or high dose Vit A protocols. It's good to check the panels but sometimes the antibody levels are low even though the child still can have a chronic viral encephalititis. It makes sense because had my daughter mounted an appropriate immune response to her vaccines, she wouldn't have achronic measles encephalitis. Guest guest
This is ironic that this was posted now since my son has done the same thing 3 times in the past 2 weeks but we are not chelationg at the moment. It usually happens when he is over stimulated like if we are rough housing or I am tickling him. He will roll his eyes in his head but when I say " stop " or " don't " he come right out of it. His doctor said if it was a seizure he wouldn't come out of it by yelling at him. So most likely a tick. He is going through puberty big time right now and we are weaning him off Zoloft so that may have something to do with it. Saturday I am starting him on high dose Vitamin C and TD- glutathione. > > We are on round two of chelation and since round one my son has started > to roll his eyes into the back of his head. Guest guest
My son did this when he was chelating with oral DMSA/ala. Supplementing with extra cal/mag helped for this to go away. And it went away very quickly. I think it was mostly the mag but since I always supplemented together, I can't say for sure. Magnesium is recommended for light sensitivity and seizures. Hope this helps. My best, Tami W Gavin's mom > > > > We are on round two of chelation and since round one my son has > started > > to roll his eyes into the back of his head. Guest guest
>>Saturday I am starting him on high > dose Vitamin C and TD- glutathione. Watch these. Both of them can cause yeast. I am doing a very high dose vitamin C protocol right now, as anti-viral, because my son no longer does well with Virastop and OLE. Now, it may just be coincidental because high dose vitamin C is basically the LAST supplement that I am giving, but this has been the absolute BEST intervention for speech and language. #2 is talking in near-complete sentences [before this, was usually only phrases], and #3 has really increased in his pretend play skills. Yesterday, #3 put a large afghan over his head and told me " I am ghost! " Then later he came up with his sister, who had a large afghan over her head also, and said " I am giant ghost! " [he is all of about a half inch taller than she is LOL]. Vitamin C does still cause tremendous yeast for #2, but not for #3 any more, so I am VERY hopeful! But to think that the #1 intervention for speech and language and pretend play skills, for my kids, is vitamin C seems very odd LOL Dana
Guest guest
> > That is great Dana! What dose are you using this time? 45 grams per day for #2 and 10 grams per day for #3. It does keep them awake for a while after they go to bed, so I am trying to load it more in the morning now. #3's language is absolutely exploding! Yesterday he was experimenting with adjectives, going up to almost everything he saw and describing it with as many different adjectives as he knew, and I would add in a few more for him. And related to another thread, the vitamin C I am giving is 1000mg [1 gram] ascorbic acid and 50mg rose hips per capsule. I have a bottle of bioflavonoids here, I will try adding a capsule today and see what happens. Dana
Guest guest
I do beleive he has a viral problem, but his first round of viral testing all came back negative and my DAN! will not let me do a trial of Valtrex. Even though I beleive it will help.
Guest guest
My son is 24 lbs and taking 6.25mg DMSA every four hours for three days on 4 days off. I do want to add ALA but my DAN! told me to wait.
Guest guest
Dana, Do you check the PH levels of your kids ? I have to wonder if all that VitC has an impact on their PH and possibly that is a contributor to your recent success. The reason I bring this up is because of previous posts where I and others have noticed kids doing better on or off round. Seems odd to me that some kids do better on and others better off .. Since we keep everything pretty much the same on & off round except for the chelator, I am trying to figure out what is happening. Guest guest
I am not sure, but I suspect any test strip would work for testing PH. Someone posted a *bunch* of info about testing PH a while back, I will have to dig for that. He does better ON round, more connected. Off round he is more spacey. We have a yeast protocol that we follow (adapted from your suggestions a long time ago), this works well and we bump it up every now and then when we suspect a flare up. I just wish there was some easy way to tell what changes during ON rounds that causes some kids to do better and others to do worse.
