There was a little boy they featured that was SO much like our son. I tivo'd it all, he'd watch, bored, glazed eyes, obviously there because I made him, but when this little boy came on, his jaw literally dropped. It was our son, from tantrum to sensory issues to repetitive behaviors and transition problems. It opened his eyes and he began watching more and more with an open mind. Within weeks, he was attending appointments, asking questions, researching on his own, and the turning point was when he started telling others -- now? he's right up there with being a huge advocate for our son. So, maybe there is still hope for your husband -- some just really take longer than others.' DONNA I jsut wanted to say, you are a very wise woman. And I also wanted to add that my husband didn't pay much attention to his two boys until about age 6-7. He now takes them to shoot BB guns, fishing, football catch, and they ride dirt bikes......my aspie son rides a mini-bike instead, but he is loving it. I have to say that I did do most of the work in the early years and I remember being resentful towards my husband. He didn't want to do the diaper thing.......and he seemed to still have a life when I was stuck at home. But now, he lives for the boys, they are always planning something and talking guy talk about stuff. He is really taking a lead in their lives and teaching them things I wouldn't have. It us a huge thing for my aspie to ride a mini-bike [it's one of those old fashioned ones we rode as kids, remember those?!] and it a great thing for his motor skills. Also multiple games of checkers that he plays with him and they always say 2 out of 3, ok? and my sons love it! also chess. Some men are worth sticking it out for, but I do know some that aren't worth the time of day. Only the wife/husband can decide that for themselves. tanna
