Guest guest
At the beginning of this month I had the intial eval meeting in which they said they would not be doing an eval because he didn't meet the criteria (too smart). I sent in requests etc with back up info from our governors office stating that they could not do that, and that i was requesting a formal evaulation for spec ed services. Today I got a call from his school and they are starting the eval process. Have to go sign the paperwork in the morning. The school psych was very helpful and agreed to do additional testing for his fine motor skills and behavioral issues as well as evaling his pragmatic skills. YEAH!!!! He is being evaled under 2 different categories, 1 for autism (only thing that aspergers fits under in TN) and under gifted. he scores really really high (superior/gifted) in math. His school actually may start helping him yet. Thank you all again for all of your advise and support at the beginning of this month! DS - 6 yrs AS, on clondine until Monday, we are changing this, its not working.
