Guest guest Posted January 3, 2007 Report Share Posted January 3, 2007 Hi all, I'm a new member from NH. I have a 13 yo son in 8th grade with Asperger's. Currently he has a 504 setup from last year, and I'm meeting with the school team this week to once again look at an IEP for him. MY ex- lives in MA so we're starting the process of finding a high school for him that has some track record in providing services for AS. Has anyone had any luck in locating a 'central database' or resource that could help in shortening the investigation cycle? I realize we're WAY late in starting this (and it's a long story). I feeling sort of new in this area and I don't know what I should be looking for, what sort of questions I SHOULD be asking of prospective schools or really how to quantify any data i do receive in trying to identify a school. Any suggestions, or comments would be welcomed. Particularly if you have a recommendation. We're looking in the NorthEast, although it's doubtful we're really going to come to any agreement on just what NE means. :-) But we DO have to start somewhere.
