Guest guest
I haven't found one that I totally love on an adult level, but if you have other children, I strongly recommend " Autism Through A Sister's Eyes " it's a 10yro sister's account of life with her brother with Autism. My 8yrb was blown away to hear these words in print and therefore, felt validated in the way he feels sometimes. It was nicely written and you go away with a feeling of hope. Guest guest
I agree it all depends on what type of book you are looking for. Of the one's not yet mentioned I really liked the book " Beyond the Wall: Personal Experiences with Autism and Asperger Syndrome " by M. Shore and Temple Grandin. It is written by high functioning people who know what the journey of thier lives was. This book gave me such hope for my son. It also has helped me see what challenges still await him and how I might better prepare him for them. It's not a fact book, it's a personal account and it really helped me on a personal level. Could you tell me what type of books are you looking for? Do you want something that will explain Aspergers on a clinical level and translate that for you? therapies? Do you want a book to help with soical skills? Are you looking for books to help you and others understand Aspergers? > > I am looking through Amazon.com for books on Asperger's.
